Role Overview
As a Qualcomm Mechanical Engineering Intern, you'll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what exists and help establish the new standards for tomorrow. You will work as an equal contributor on a team of leading engineers to design, simulate, and test mechanical and thermal systems that support Qualcomm's advanced semiconductor technologies. Projects may span IC packaging, chip/package co-design, thermal modeling, signal and power integrity, and next-generation cooling solutions.
This internship supports the Mechanical Engineering track. Based on your resume you will be aligned to projects within this track.
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree program in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field
* Must be available for 11-14 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-September)
* Expected graduation date of November 2026 or later
* 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab
Preferred Qualifications
* Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between November 2026 and June 2027.
* Familiarity with Cadence Sip, AutoCAD, and Solidworks
* Coursework in Solid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
* Knowledge of IC packaging structures, chip-package interaction, and electronic packaging processes
* Experience with thermal system design, modeling, and testing
* Understanding of heat transfer, mechanical design, and microelectronics
* Exposure to server product design, system impedance testing, fan performance measurement, and heatsink design methodology
* Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel, and/or airflow bench operation

Role Overview

Role Overview (Responsibilities)
* Customer / Target Account Insights - Research and map target accounts; build stakeholder maps and outreach lists for key accounts.
* Market Segment / BU Research & Competitive Insights - Synthesize competitive and market signals into concise briefings for the organization; understand competitive positioning and propose recommendations.

Role Responsibilities:

Individuals will be responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle. He/she will learn about upgrading/deploying various devices which include network gear, Windows-based devices, virtual machines and Motorola proprietary devices. Along with above duties, individuals will prepare to be a customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort. He/She will be primarily traveling to South Central US states' customer locations to carry out their duties.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable
Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable
Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar, highly desirable

Role Overview
As a Qualcomm Multimedia Engineering Intern, you'll work on best-in-class technologies including camera, video encoding/decoding, audio, speech, GPU, modem, CPU, application processor, multimedia engines, and computer vision. These technologies are at the heart of billions of Snapdragon devices across the globe. The team is responsible for system-level architecture, analysis, budgeting, and optimization of multimedia use cases to achieve lowest power and best performance. Role Overview

Role Overview
Qualcomm's Government Technologies (QGOV) division develops special products based on its wireless terrestrial and satellite communication technologies for the military, federal, local, and foreign governments. Role Overview
As a Qualcomm Security Engineering Intern, you'll collaborate with world-class engineers to enhance the security of systems and products powering billions of mobile, IoT, and connectivity devices. You'll gain hands-on experience protecting real-world devices and systems from attacks. Qualcomm values collaboration, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing. You'll work cross-functionally with engineers and stakeholders to secure complex infrastructure and applications.
This internship supports three technical tracks:
* Product Security Engineering
* Secure Systems Engineering
* Cybersecurity Engineering

Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Computer Science (CS), Security, Information Systems, or a related field
* Must be available for 11-14 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-September)
* Expected graduation date of November 2026 or later
Preferred Qualifications
* Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between November 2026 and June 2027
Track 1: Product Security Engineering
* Experience in threat modeling, security risk assessment, fuzzing, program analysis, exploit countermeasures, cryptographic assessment, cellular and wireless security, and incident response
* Skills in program analysis (source and binary), supply chain security, vulnerability research, exploit mitigations, secure execution environments, hardware security, AI model security
* 1+ years of academic experience in computer systems security or embedded device security
* Strong technical problem-solving and programming skills
* Preferred candidates are studying toward an MS or Ph.D. in a related field
Track 2: Secure Systems Engineering
* Experience in secure OS features, hypervisors, secure boot, key management, automotive safety/security, and programmatic security improvements
* Knowledge of systems security, operating systems, hypervisors, trusted execution environments
* Strong programming skills and interest in securing mobile devices and programming languages
* 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python
* Preferred candidates are studying toward a BS or MS in ECE, CS, Math, or related field
Track 3: Cybersecurity Engineering
* Experience in OT security, application security, security architecture, GRC, threat hunting, incident response, automation, and risk management
* Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, statistics, ML/AI, security frameworks, endpoint security, cryptography, forensics, phishing, malware analysis
* Experience with Windows & Linux (any distribution)
