Valley Regional Home Health is looking to add afull-time Quality Assurance Coordinator to our dynamic, growing team. We are looking for a talented and compassionate individual that wants to make a significant difference in the lives of our patients. Please note that Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses will be prioritized in the application process.Candidates MUST be experienced in Quality Assurance in Home Health, and MUST be experienced in Quality Assurance measures with OASIS documentation. Candidates without Home Health QA and OASIS experience will not be considered. This position is in-person, reporting to our office Monday through Friday.
Job Description Summary
The QA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that patient care is coordinated and managed appropriately and is responsible for ensuring that care and services are delivered appropriately. The QA Coordinator will also make patient visits as appropriate, and will triage phone calls within the office as needed.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Reviews available patient information related to case, including home visits, to determine home health care needs. Chart audits.
Reviews and evaluates each case through a variety of means such as home visits, conferences, record review and the services provided by clinicians; discusses and verifies impressions, instructs and guides clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality home care services; and is available at all times during scheduled hours to assist clinicians as appropriate.
Reviews patient's medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures and clinical course.
Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
Participates actively in quality assessment performance improvement program.
Performs other duties and activities as delegated by the Director of Patient Care Services.
Position Qualifications
Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting.
LVN/RN licensure preferred, not required
Previous experience in home health care setting is required, especially with prior QA experience.
Has excellent observation, good nursing judgment and communication skills.
Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibility for Quality/Food Safety:

The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new employee is provided a handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least once per year. Records are maintained reflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions.

SUMMARY
Perform process checks throughout the production, packaging, sanitation and warehousing functions of the company, including pre-operational checks, sanitation verification, label checks, net weight checks, package integrity checks and organoleptic checks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Coordinate with production to ensure that products meet the established customer standards and notify the production team and QA management when problems occur
* Direct & Assist the QA Technicians while verifying completion of all daily tasks
* Initiate Hard Holds when necessary on non-conforming product, including labeling, segregating the product (systematically and physically), and sending an email communication to management reporting the issue
* Conduct weekly environmental swabs and update file weekly with results
* Calibrate laboratory test equipment.
* Communicate, schedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratories for batch testing.
* Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance with company standards and policies, and effectively communicating when there are deviations from standards or processes.
* Review and sign production and QA documentation within 7 days of production, including HACCP critical control points, to be SQF compliant
* Inventory lab supplies, equipment, and chemicals to notify when the lab needs to place another order
* Organize, file, and manage production folders and retains
* Conduct research on Quality Assurance issues and deliver reports on research to management.
* Review and enforce the Company's food safety, quality and regulatory standards in addition to 3rd party auditor requirements

This is a fully onsite role.
This position is responsible for executing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providing quality engineering support for non-product software. Ensures software systems are developed, validated and maintained in compliance with regulatory and business procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Provide guidance and training to the site engineers for Non-Product Software development and validation, Data Integrity, Cybersecurity, 21 CFR part 11 requirements and ensure compliance for the same.
Work with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering in the completion of system/software requirements and other verification and validation processes.
Create and execute or direct software validation protocols traceable to system/software requirements. Execute and support on-time completion of Quality Engineering deliverables: test plans (manual and automated), test scripts (manual and automated), test reports
Implement solutions for controlling code and administer Code Control and Software Event/Defect Tracking software systems.
Assist in the completion and maintenance of risk analysis, focused on software related risks including cybersecurity and data integrity risks.
Design and implement various product and process improvement methodologies (i.e, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing).
Apply sound, systematic problem solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating and resolving issues.
Support internal (corporate and divisional) and external quality audit
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field (Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 2 years roles of Software Quality Engineering experience
Industry certification preferred.
Relevant experience, such as Quality, Compliance, Engineering, within a regulated environment, such as medical device, diagnostics or pharmaceutical industries, to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.
Knowledge of applicable US and non-US Quality System Requirements and other relevant regulations for medical devices. Previous experience with regulatory body. Knowledge of software regulations and compliance (21 CFR Part 11); - Knowledge of ISO 13485.
Knowledge of quality management techniques and the application and principles of quality engineering. Strong knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures. Ability or aptitude to work on problems that are complex in scope where analysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors. Understanding of statistics.

**The Opportunity**
Our location in **Sylmar, CA** currently has an opportunity for an **Software Quality Engineer** .
**This is a fully onsite role** .
This position is responsible for executing and maintaining quality engineering methodologies and providing quality engineering support for non-product software. Ensures software systems are developed, validated and maintained in compliance with regulatory and business procedures.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO** :
+ Provide guidance and training to the site engineers for Non-Product Software development and validation, Data Integrity, Cybersecurity, 21 CFR part 11 requirements and ensure compliance for the same.
+ Work with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering in the completion of system/software requirements and other verification and validation processes.
+ Create and execute or direct software validation protocols traceable to system/software requirements. Execute and support on-time completion of Quality Engineering deliverables: test plans (manual and automated), test scripts (manual and automated), test reports
+ Implement solutions for controlling code and administer Code Control and Software Event/Defect Tracking software systems.
+ Assist in the completion and maintenance of risk analysis, focused on software related risks including cybersecurity and data integrity risks.
+ Design and implement various product and process improvement methodologies (i.e, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing).
+ Apply sound, systematic problem solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating and resolving issues.
+ Support internal (corporate and divisional) and external quality audit
+ Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
+ Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field (Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Minimum 2 years roles of Software Quality Engineering experience
+ Industry certification preferred.
+ Relevant experience, such as Quality, Compliance, Engineering, within a regulated environment, such as medical device, diagnostics or pharmaceutical industries, to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.
+ Knowledge of applicable US and non-US Quality System Requirements and other relevant regulations for medical devices. Previous experience with regulatory body. Knowledge of software regulations and compliance (21 CFR Part 11); - Knowledge of ISO 13485.
+ Knowledge of quality management techniques and the application and principles of quality engineering. Strong knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures. Ability or aptitude to work on problems that are complex in scope where analysis of situations or data involves multiple competing factors. Understanding of statistics.
+ Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
+ Ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally.
+ Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills.
+ Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software.
+ Ability to prioritize.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills.
+ Ability or aptitude to lead without direct authority.
+ Programming experience in C/C++/C#, Scripting Language such as Python.
+ Experience with software configuration, and issue-tracking tools such as GIT, Jira, Subversion, ClearQuest, Doors, Bugzilla.
+ Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR part 820, 21 CFR part 11, GMP, IEEE 1012, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485.
+ Advanced computer skills, including statistical/data analysis and report writing.
+ Advanced Information Technology and data mining skills.
+ Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
+ Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
+ Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
+ Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Medical device experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Data Integrity (ALCOA+) principles preferred.
+ Experience in Bluetooth enabled systems, firmware or embedded software testing and verification/validation preferred.
+ ASQ CSQE certification desired.
