QA Technician - Ready to Eat Evening Shift Job Summary
Perform standardized qualitative and quantitative assays to determine physical, chemical, and microbiological properties of food products and other samples. Conduct standardized tests on food in order to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, texture, nutrients, and microbiological content. Perform laboratory preparation activities and analyses to provide useful, accurate technical information to necessary personnel.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Receives, logs, and stores laboratory samples.
Prepares standard solutions and reagents for use in microbiological/chemical testing.
Maintain stock of lab materials.
Perform routine maintenance of lab equipment.
Regular verification/calibration of lab equipment, including annual 3rd party certification.
Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
Taste or smell foods in order to ensure that flavors meet specifications.
Perform microbiological analyses of food ingredients, raw and finished food samples, and environmental samples using established microbiological methods and procedures.
Performs chemical & physical analyses of food ingredients and finished food samples using established chemistry methods and procedures.
Enter sample and test data into computer databases to ensure products are meeting published customer service standards.

Works with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and the supplier to communicate requirements, verify processes, and identify opportunities for product improvement. Supplier visits will be a routine part of this responsibility.
Helps train new employees or retrain employees found deficient during inspection activities.
Gathers data and performs analysis to determine the root cause of problems identified through, non-conformance tracking, FDR's, audits and assessments will be a high impact responsibility of the Specialist. Helps eliminate and prevent problems.

General Description
The successful candidate will be a significant contributor on our Project Execution Team. The Automation Engineer will work in the development, delivery, and commissioning of state-of-the-art process control systems and solutions for R.E. Mason's industrial customers. R.E. Mason uses the technologies provided by Emerson - DeltaV Distributed Control System (“DeltaV”), Asset Management System (AMS) and other Emerson solutions.
The Automation Engineer will also provide aftermarket (“Lifecycle”) and staff augmentation support to customers. Typically, this includes modifying existing control strategies, implementing small scale expansion projects and assisting with process optimization projects.
Specific Responsibilities
Implement control strategies within the DeltaV DCS that are used to interface with and control physical devices such as valves and pumps within the plant environment. This will include:
Configuring and testing control and equipment modules classes and instances
Configuring and testing batch control strategies including phase classes and recipes
Configuring custom dynamos, graphic displays, and trends
Develop system design documentation for a variety of continuous and batch process control applications

Senior Test Engineer
In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct testing and verification activities for assignments of systems, subsystems, or products effectively and cost-efficiently. You will also showcase your expertise by designing, building, and overseeing maintenance, calibration, and decommissioning of test systems, preparing project test documentation, and providing feedback for the design process from the testing perspective.

This role is contributing to Electrification Production Test Engineering in Pinetops, NC.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Designing electrical test equipment systems and processes to be implemented in factory production testing of high-power transformer products.
Developing, implementing, and improving relevant policies and procedures to improve testing effectiveness across the Testing function.
Oversight of maintenance, calibration, and decommissioning of all test systems.
Testing products and systems and validating materials to ensure these follow prescribed technical specifications.
Acting as an authority to ensure all applicable requirements, maintaining test reports and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal, or ABB internal requirements.
Qualifications of the role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and detailed electrical schematics.
PLC, LabVIEW and Database programming experience preferred.
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, such as the NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA Electrical Shock, Arc Flask, National Fire and Life Safety Codes, building codes, energy codes, etc.
