QA Technician - Ready to Eat Evening Shift Job Summary
Perform standardized qualitative and quantitative assays to determine physical, chemical, and microbiological properties of food products and other samples. Conduct standardized tests on food in order to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, texture, nutrients, and microbiological content. Perform laboratory preparation activities and analyses to provide useful, accurate technical information to necessary personnel.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Receives, logs, and stores laboratory samples.
Prepares standard solutions and reagents for use in microbiological/chemical testing.
Maintain stock of lab materials.
Perform routine maintenance of lab equipment.
Regular verification/calibration of lab equipment, including annual 3rd party certification.
Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.
Taste or smell foods in order to ensure that flavors meet specifications.
Perform microbiological analyses of food ingredients, raw and finished food samples, and environmental samples using established microbiological methods and procedures.
Performs chemical & physical analyses of food ingredients and finished food samples using established chemistry methods and procedures.

The Quality Assurance Representative performs the receiving, in-process, final inspections and/or functional operational tests of Aircraft Mechanic I, II, II and Aircraft Workers. The individual must possess a detailed, working knowledge of all Navy-sponsored aviation maintenance programs and processes governed by COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790 (series). In addition, aviation maintenance controllers/production controllers must have detailed knowledge of the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information Systems Optimized O-level Maintenance Activity (NALCOMIS OOMA). This individual must have previously qualified as Quality Assurance Representative.
The Quality Assurance Representative approves or rejects final project to ensure compliance with standards. Perform analysis of defects and interprets quality rejection and failure trends. The inspector has freedom and authority to control further processing of non-conforming parts and materials until deficiencies are corrected. Ensures the organization addresses non-conforming activities, maintains records of quality problems and assists the organization in formulating a plan to correct nonconformities. Later investigates to verify that the solution has met criteria of the applicable Technical manual or related Technical material. May also perform quality and safety related administrative functions, such as: training, recordkeeping, tool control and ensures all testing and measuring equipment has current calibration status.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and Commander Naval Air Forces Instruction 4790.2B.

In addition to reviewing the record, an audit may include an interview with the person supported, direct support staff, professional staff, and management staff.
Observation of the implementation of Individual Services Plans (ISP) will also occur, along with assessing the condition of the home or administrative unit, and company vehicle for cleanliness, repair, and safety. Assists in the development of materials and information for dissemination at meetings. Coordinates Statewide meetings at the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and/or CCO.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 2+ years of experience with Ladder Logic and structure programming from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HMI and control network components, including maintenance, troubleshooting, programming and design
- Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying Motor Controls including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics
- Experience interpreting and modifying mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience programming with RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, FT View, and other controls software platforms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
