Job Summary In the role of Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the life of the product by interfacing within the APQP process and inspecting purchased and fabricated items for compliance with engineering standards. Quality Technician - Food Manufacturing Pay Range: Based on experience We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Technician to join our team at a food manufacturing facility in Henderson, NV. The Quality Technician is responsible for performing standardized inspections, product testing, and quality checks to ensure all products meet company, state, and federal food safety and quality standards. This role requires accuracy, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Maintain and calibrate testing and measuring equipment. Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner. Identify and report non-conformances, assisting in root-cause investigations when necessary. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process improvements. Monitor and inspect areas for compliance with sanitation and safety protocols. Complete and maintain inspection forms, logs, and related documentation. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality control. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Additional coursework in quality or food science preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control or production (food manufacturing strongly preferred). Familiarity with GMPs, SOPs, and food safety standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. Basic math and computer skills for data entry and reporting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment. Must be available to work overnight, rotating, and weekend shifts as required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Work Environment: Food manufacturing facility with exposure to allergens (wheat, nuts, coconut, soy products). May require standing, lifting, and walking for extended periods. Must wear appropriate PPE and comply with all FDA, GMP, and OSHA safety standards. Overtime, including weekends, may be required based on production needs. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 50 lbs.
