The primary goal of this position is to prevent bugs from being released into production through regular and rigorous software and hardware testing. When issues occur, the Quality Assurance Tester is diligent in resolving them in a timely manner by collaborating with colleagues in engineering, as needed. In addition, the Quality Assurance Tester performs root cause analysis to identify and implement preventative measures by providing transparency patterns and trends. This position plays a key role in improving departmental processes and procedures, change management, and development standards.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or 2-4 years of related field, or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in manual software and/or hardware testing, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, or a related technical role.
Experience executing and maintaining manual test scrips.
Experience using Jira or similar defect tracking and project management tool
Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
Experience testing devices and applications based on Android, iOS and other operating systems
Understanding of PC's including, major browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) and other web- based applications
Proficient with MS Office 365, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and other common office tools
Knowledge of front-end website and application testing
Experience supporting "inkjet" based printing products a plus
IBM System (AS/400) experience a plus

Qualifications
What we are looking for:
Candidates MUST have at least one year of testing mobile applications (preferably 2-3 years). A particular focus should be around iOS / iPhone / iPad applications, but experience in Android / Windows Mobile is also a nice to have.
Team players - because our clients are highly collaborative environments, the ability to function in fast-paced, fun, team-oriented environments is critical!

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing proprietary software solution, design, build and support of Test Automation software. You will be integrated with a project Team to deliver strategic and tactical enhancements to Parametric's proprietary software suite. You'll also collaborate with other technology teams in the organization as necessary, including Infrastructure, DevOps, InfoSec and Release Management.
