A Quality Assurance Food Assistant - Product Quality never has the same day twice. One day it may be working on product performance data, and another collaborating with internal teams to gather samples for one of the testing programs and communicating with suppliers. If you want to make a difference and be part of a team ensuring quality, low price products, then this is the job for you. The ideal candidate should have food industry experience or a background in a science field and love to analyze data. A strong knowledge of excel and other MS programs is preferred. The objective of this role is to decipher key data points regarding product and supplier performance, provide recommendations to the QA Specialist, and work with others on team for seamless transitions.

Full-Time
Starting Wage: $25.75 per hour
Work Location: Batavia, IL
This role is eligible to participate in ALDI's Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week)


Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Assists in investigating product and supplier compliance.
• Acts as a liaison between stakeholders and Quality Assurance.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of Quality Assurance systems and projects.
• Assists the team in preparation of reports, presentations, and Quality Assurance materials.
• Assists in the preparation of technical advice for the Buying department as needed.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.
• Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Principle Responsibilities:

* Enter all QA and food safety data into corporate drives and internal spreadsheets daily
* Send QA & food safety reports to internal team and corporate team
* Report FSIS Non-compliance
* Present HACCP/SSOP information to customers and USDA as needed
* File and maintain QA and food safety documents
* Print labels for operations as needed and send label proofs to corporate
* Enter all quality control hold tags into the database
* Help QA techs by filling in on production floor as needed
* Answer phone calls and take messages for all QA lines
* Submit micro samples to lab
* Gather tare weight information and set codes up in Shop Floor Software
* BRC Compliance auditing and preparation
* E-mail certificates of analysis to customers
* Perform video auditing and annual HACCP/SSOP program updates
* Review QA paperwork for accuracy daily as well as previous day's documents, following up with supervisors as necessary
* Other duties assigned

Skills:

* Experience working in food industry with HACCP, SSOP, USDA regulations and GMP requirements
* Previous clerical experience preferred
