DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role offers a scientific and technical internship aimed at facilitating the planning and execution of comprehensive waterbody surveys crucial for monitoring and assessing the surface waters within the Commonwealth. Key responsibilities include the collection of macroinvertebrates, freshwater mussels, fish, habitat data, and various water quality indicators. The intern will also support maintenance of equipment. Furthermore, the position involves the organization, assessment, and integration of data collected from monitoring efforts, following established protocols. Laboratory processing of benthic macroinvertebrate, freshwater mussel, and fish samples obtained during surveys is also required.
