Our client is looking for a Lead Automation Engineer to join the engineering team responsible for building and maintaining a payer-agnostic web platform. You'll work alongside full stack engineers on the same user stories, driving automation strategy and strengthening their regression test suite to support a growing, multi-environment product.
This is a hands-on leadership role - ideal for someone who takes initiative, identifies automation gaps, and builds scalable testing solutions without waiting for direction. You'll help evolve their Playwright-based test suite while deepening coverage across UI, API, and integration layers.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and test suites (primarily using Playwright).
Partner with full stack developers on shared user stories to proactively define and automate regression coverage.
Expand and optimize existing smoke and regression test suites, ensuring consistency across multiple environments and live production.
Introduce and maintain API-level testing and integration testing as the platform brings on new vendors and services.
Mentor other automation engineers, helping them ramp up in Playwright and automation best practices.
Collaborate with leadership and product teams - clearly communicating testing health, risk, and coverage metrics.
Continuously evaluate emerging test tools, frameworks, and best practices to drive automation maturity.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Automation Engineer - someone who can guide others and self-direct priorities.
5+ years of experience in test automation, with expertise in frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
1-2 years of experience (or strong working knowledge) with Playwright - or demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up on new tools.
Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, React/Angular/Vue).
Experience building and maintaining API and integration tests (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
Ability to design clean, modular, maintainable test code.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience setting up test reporting (Allure, JUnit, TestNG) or trace visualization.
Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) or cloud-based test execution.
Familiarity with behavior-driven testing (Cucumber/Gherkin).

**About the Role**
+ The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring quality of technology that PSI provides to its customers. The person in this role works closely with the Software Engineering teams to understand what has been developed. Specialty Networks' PPS Analytics platform is a commercial SaaS platform that collects data from various clinical and operational practice systems, and uses artificial intelligence and modern data analytics to transform it into meaningful and actionable insights that ensure providers get their patients to the right care at the right time.
The _Commercial Technologies Software Engineering_ team delivers applications to our customers. This Software Engineer will build and deploy solutions for our member practices, pharmaceutical partners, and our fellow teammates. This individual will also be responsible for designing and implementing full stack functionality for our web applications. In addition, this position will be expected to coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with members of their own team as well as other teams
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Design solutions for our user community
+ Write software that is reliable, maintainable, and extensible
+ Author user interface components for web applications
+ Mentor junior developers and engage them with relevant development tasks
+ Debug and resolve user interface issues
+ Implement proper usage of authentication and access control sub-systems
+ Track, maintain, and monitor user activity logs and error logs
+ Collaborate with other developers and non-technical cross-functional teams
+ Participate as a QA resource for other developers
+ Manage and troubleshoot dev automation - automated build and release processes
+ Assist with software releases
+ Assist with architectural evaluations and decisions
**_Qualifications_**
+ 7+ years of full-stack software development experience with C# and modern JavaScript frameworks
+ Expert-level C# with .NET Core for backend API development and business logic
+ Expert-level Angular (version 12 or higher) and TypeScript for frontend development
+ Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
+ Solid expertise with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server for data access and modeling
+ Experience with Azure AD B2C authentication and authorization implementation
+ Proficiency in modern frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive design principles
+ Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements
+ Proactive problem-solver who surfaces blockers early and drives solutions
+ Collaborative team player who brings innovative ideas for features and technical improvements
**_Preferred:_**
+ Healthcare or clinical application development experience
+ Legacy application migration and modernization experience
+ Azure cloud services familiarity (App Services, Azure Functions)
+ Experience with patient portal or member-facing applications
+ Performance optimization and scalability improvements in production systems
+ Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
