Qualifications

The Test Engineer plays a crucial role in a dynamic, hands-on environment, supporting the operations team by providing technical support for production. You will be responsible for designing and building new electro-mechanical test equipment for new products, as well as maintaining, repairing, planning for obsolescence, and continuously improving existing test equipment with a strategic focus on automation where applicable.
Responsibilities
* Develop a thorough understanding of the company's products and all test requirements, focusing on rotary actuators, hydraulic valves, and pressure and temperature switches.
* Design, develop, and build new automated electro-mechanical manufacturing and production test equipment for in-house use.
* Create electrical schematics/2D Electrical Drawings, specify and purchase all components and materials, find reliable vendors to assist, and write software to design and develop automated test equipment.
* Modify existing test equipment hardware and/or software to accommodate new or changed requirements.
* Service, maintain, and repair test equipment, upgrading or replacing old/obsolete systems as necessary.
* Write comprehensive statements-of-work and evaluate/select vendors for test equipment development and fabrication.
* Work on electrical panels/controllers/circuit boards of high-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems (up to 10,000 PSI).
* Handle test equipment that operates at high temperatures (up to 600° F).
* Write and perform test system validation and calibration procedures to AS9100 requirements.
