Responsibilities
* Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality/inspection standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Establishes quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates, and quality plans. Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is compliant with requirements and/or contract.
* Assesses quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, reliability, and accuracy of products, processes, and production equipment. Provide technical expertise relative to CMM utilization.
* Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. Assumes direct responsibility for monitoring, coordinating and providing oversight of Receiving Inspection, Salt Check, Middle (Braze & Weld) Inspection, Layout Inspection, Repair Station Inspection, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, and Final Inspection activity.
* Plans, prepares, and monitors work progress, evaluates time standards and recommends corrective action throughout the assigned work area. Coordinates the availability of manpower, materials and machinery required to meet delivery due dates. Provides statistical information for quality improvements by determining and applying testing methods and criteria.
* Provides guidance toward solving work related problems and the application of acceptable performance and quality standards. Establishes and maintains effective controls to assure accuracy and timely completion of assigned work projects. Collects data and generates reports on Turn Around Time in inspection as required.
* Trains and develops employees and evaluates work performance. Conducts formal inspection training to meet FAA requirements. Manages cross training to ensure availability of Inspectors for transfer to all inspection areas. Recommends personnel action and applies performance management/ leadership techniques to assure positive employee relations. Explains and supports company policies and procedures. Complies with applicable negotiated labor agreements.
* Obtains and retains certification as a Level 2 Radiography Technician. Performs Radiographic Inspection to back up the Level 3 Radiography Technician. Transfers into other as needed to cover for Personal Time Off taken by Production Supervisors. See DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY FUNCTIONS IN SPECIFIC AREAS OF SUPERVISION below.
* Establishes and maintains effective control to assure proper use in the operation of machinery, tools, and other company equipment when required. Ensures area is maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Monitors, reports and resolves unsafe conditions.
* Leads and motivates employees toward participation in product improvement and cycle time reduction programs. Conducts effective department meetings on a regular basis.
* Perform other related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree (BA) in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.
* Effective supervisory / leadership skills are required.
* Fundamental knowledge and application of state-of-the-art inspection and quality assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts and general business operations; as well as those in Manufacturing Production.
* Level 2 certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. Eventual Level 2 certification Radiographic Inspection, to an agreed upon schedule after starting this position.

How you'll contribute
The Director of Quality Management assumes responsibility and accountability for the hospital-wide Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement program. The DQM will assist the CEO/leadership and Medical Staff to establish priorities for Performance Improvement. He/she ensures that disciplines in the hospital work collaboratively to plan and implement Performance Improvement activities. The DQM will focus on measuring, analyzing and trending information in order to improve outcomes. He/she will assure ongoing monitoring of performance to ensure that improvements are sustained. Professional Engineering Licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required. A candidate who can obtain a license within three months may be considered.

Our QA Specialist is responsible for coordinating all aspects of quality and validation functions. This role includes developing, executing, and maintaining quality and validation processes to ensure that products and services comply with regulatory agency requirements, internal company standards, ISO 9001/17025 expectations, and current industry best practices. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing quality and validation processes and recommending enhancements in collaboration with Quality, Instrumentation, Operations, and R&D teams.

QA/QC inspection: Perform and reinforce quality inspections at the CVT Roanoke location to ensure all products, including data loggers, devices, and calibration services, meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Overview
The Supervisor, Quality Assurance (QA) will lead and develop assigned quality personnel and provide guidance for cross-functional teams to support the quality and food safety requirements of the products produced and shipped from their location. Primary Purpose:
