Document and report findings: Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions, and prepare regular reports for management and clients.
Become proficient in the use of SOLV's proprietary “Sunscreen” software to train project teams in documentation processes and to initiate, report and document all quality matters on the projects in the designated region.
Conduct frequent, formal audits on documentation compliance, reporting methods, installation processes/procedures and methods, material handling, and vendor product performance.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis when needed. Utilizing both 5-Why or 8D methods, depending on circumstance, conduct and document thorough RCA to identify quality issues on projects. Create, implement and monitor formal CAPA's based on results of the RCA.
Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions to enhance overall project quality and efficiency.
Ensure compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, and ensure that all projects adhere to relevant guidelines and regulations.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
Certifications: Quality management certifications such as ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or PMP are highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, OSHA 10, 30, Journeyman, etc. are all highly desirable.

The Quality Engineering Manager will lead all Quality Engineering activities and incoming quality issues. Ensure all quality related systems of the plant are established and documented to provide a safe and effective product. Build sound technical and organizational competence within area of responsibility. Ensure the systems and products comply with applicable government regulations. Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Evaluate, design, implement and improve a production and process control strategy to achieve quality management and plant objectives.

Review and approve changes to the device master record.
Review and approve qualifications and validation protocols and results.

Oversee the vendor qualification and certification programs in collaboration with supply management and supply quality engineer.

Comply with all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Provide effective quality engineering leadership in teamwork development, effective communication, and quick responses to customer needs.
Build organization capability for quality engineering in the selection and mentoring of professionals.
Build a strong interactive, working, and strategic relationship with Holdrege manufacturing and Global quality management and other staff.
Function as primary engineering respondent during FDA, ISO and other 3rd party audits and follow up on any action plans.

* Conducts and assists with planning and design of quality-related training programs and classes with internal employees and external business partners.
* Utilizes internal quality assurance systems and tools to prepare reports for field superintendents, project managers and subcontractors detailing compliant and non-compliant conditions.
* Conducts warranty-related investigations in support of operations and makes recommendations for corrective action.
* Ensures field observations and reporting is properly documented through internal Company systems and tools and monitors for resolution.
* May be required to review and certify submittals for accuracy.
* Participates in staff, team or quality committee meetings, fostering quality efforts, reporting on quality trends or issues and creating communication plans to mitigate the issues.
* Serves as onsite quality representative on single project or multiple projects as needed.
* Partners with project team to complete subcontractor quality performance evaluations at project completion.
* Develops robust relationships with internal and external clients, including owners, business partners, manufacturer's reps and third-party consultants.
* Conducts routine, consistent communication/updates with supported project leads.
* Provides mentorship and guidance to other team members.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
* Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate).
* Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate).
* Ability to conduct effective presentations (Intermediate).
* Ability to read drawings, specifications, building codes and other technical product and material data (Advanced).
* Knowledge of material and field testing for QA processes (Advanced).
* Knowledge of QA procedures for a variety of construction conditions.
* Ability to recognize non-compliant conditions and investigate corrective measures.
* Knowledge of construction trades and scopes of work (Intermediate).
* Ability to provide performance management feedback and complete evaluations.
* Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
Education
* Bachelors' degree in architecture, construction management or related field (Preferred).
* In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
* 8+ years construction quality-related experience (Required).
* 0-2 years mentoring or team leadership experience (Required).
Working Environment
* Valid and unrestricted drivers license required
* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
* Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet business needs
* May require extensive periods of travel
* Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)

We are seeking a strategic, experienced Director of Quality - Renewables who can define, lead, and scale enterprise-wide quality programs, inspire high-performing teams, and ensure every project is executed with pride, compliance, and operational excellence.
What You Will Be Doing:
Establish and lead a consistent, enterprise-wide quality program across solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects.
Define renewable quality standards, procedures, KPIs, and governance while ensuring flexibility for project-specific needs.
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing multi-region quality teams, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Oversee audits, regulatory compliance, NCR management, and root-cause analysis to drive systemic prevention and minimize rework.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Estimating, and Commissioning teams to embed proactive quality into every project phase.
Serve as the senior quality representative to clients, AHJs, and third-party partners, resolving escalated issues with professionalism and transparency.
Experience You Will Need:
10-15+ years in QA/QC, construction leadership, or engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS).
Proven experience leading multi-project or multi-region quality programs with measurable performance improvements.
Deep knowledge of renewable installation standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems.
Expertise in NCR management, audits, root-cause analysis, and data-driven quality decision-making.
Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills with the ability to partner effectively with field teams and executives.
Proficiency with QA software and reporting tools; willingness to travel nationwide to project sites.
