Position Summary The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality assurance and continuous improvement through advanced data analysis across manufacturing, suppliers, and product lifecycle processes. This role ensures that products meet safety, regulatory, and customer requirements by leading root cause analysis, corrective actions, technical leadership, partners with Supplier Quality for supplier development, and quality system governance and compliance. The Senior QE partners with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations) to proactively prevent defects, reduce cost of poor quality, and deliver reliable, compliant products. Key Responsibilities Quality Systems & Compliance Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, S-A-01, industry regulations, and internal QMS requirements. Support compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements. Lead internal and external quality audits; support certification, regulatory inspections and Management Reviews. Maintain documentation (control plans, inspection plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, SPC, CAPA, NCRs) Supplier Quality Collaborate with Supplier Quality to identify supplier issues. Analyze info provided by suppliers to understand preventative actions in production. Manufacturing Quality Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities and disposition decisions. Monitor in-process quality, lead problem-solving (FAST) for recurring production issues. Lead Gemba walks to identify quality risks and drive improvements. Partner with production engineering to improve process capability Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop error-proofing (Poka - Yoke) and SPC controls on critical operations. Continuous Improvement Drive Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve yield. Conduct data analysis of RTY, CoPQ, PPM, complaints, and audit findings. Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA). Technically proficient AI for data collection, improvements and automating the analysis and reporting Training experience to coach team members as needed on OpEx, Lean, 6Sigma Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Design Engineering on DFMEA, PFMEA, NPD and design for manufacturability. Provide training and coaching to operators, inspectors, and engineers on quality tools. Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) on quality standards, measurement systems, and risk management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field. 10+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong data analysis skills; proficiency in AI and BI tools Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, CAPA, audits). Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective actions, and RTY improvement. Experience with data systems (Intelex, Oracle, or similar). Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills. Preferred Qualifications ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Experience in dispenser, automotive, or industrial equipment manufacturing. Familiarity with Measurement Canada and other regulatory compliance. Knowledge of supplier quality processes and collaboration with SQEs. Key Success Metrics RTY improvement and sustainability across production lines. Timely closure of NCRs and support MRB actions as needed, and cycle times improvement. Reduction in customer complaints and field failures, better customer satisfaction. Effective support of NPI through lessons learned and risk mitigation. Positive audit results and compliance to ISO/regulatory standards. Closure of internal audits and CARs on a timely manner. Reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).     Quality Manager Department: Quality Reports To: Plant Manager (General Manager) The Quality Manager leads the plant's Quality Organization to ensure the delivery of defect‑free, compliant, and on‑time product to our customers within a Tier 1 Just‑In‑Time (JIT) manufacturing environment. Quality Systems & Compliance Maintain and continually improve the plant's Quality Management System in accordance with IATF and applicable regulatory requirements. Oversee internal audit programs, layered process audits (LPA), and compliance readiness for surveillance audits. Ensure documentation control, reaction plans, standardized work, and quality alerts are up to date and effectively deployed. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Quality Technician/Inspector teams. Build a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and quality ownership throughout the plant. Allocate resources to support production needs, launches, trials, and engineering changes. Production & Process Quality Oversee in‑process inspection, testing, measurement systems (MSA), and control plan execution. Ensure robust PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions aligned with GM specifications and BIQS requirements. Lead Corrective Action Plans utilizing root cause methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, PDCA. Support manufacturing teams in minimizing scrap, rework, variation, and downtime through quality-led improvements. Launch, Engineering Changes & Continuous Improvement Manage quality deliverables for new product launches, engineering changes, and process changes. Support APQP planning, including design reviews, prototype evaluations, and PPAP submissions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making. Implement improvement projects to enhance product quality, reduce PPM, and improve customer satisfaction. Supplier Quality Oversee supplier quality performance, incoming inspection, and escalation to resolve material nonconformities. Support supplier audits, PPAP approvals, and corrective actions to ensure compliance and supply continuity. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (preferred). 5+ years of progressive quality experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and GM Customer Specific Requirements. Experience in JIT operations, high-volume manufacturing, and OEM interaction (GM experience strongly preferred). Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality standards. Inspections & Reporting: Conduct quality inspections, generate data analytics, and track nonconformance reports. Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean initiatives and contribute to the success of quality-driven projects. Training & Coaching: Train internal teams on quality standards and procedures. What We Are Looking For High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of field experience with structured cabling or data center cabling installations. Experience with fiber installation and testing. Strong communication and coaching abilities. Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive, detail-oriented approach. Experience with technical writing and developing QA/QC procedures is a plus.
