What You'll Be Doing:
Provides supervision to subordinates within work group. Establishes and maintains communications with all project departments, client and subcontractor(s).
Oversee inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.
Development preventative maintenance schedule and provide inspection support as required.
Develops and maintains required project quality records and documentation.
Maintains inspection and NCR logs.
Reviews quality records/documents for correctness and completeness.
Oversees inspections, evaluations, and tests, setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment.
Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results and reports inspection, examination and testing results.
Evaluates the adequacy of specific programs used to train and test inspection, examination, and testing personnel
Attends and documents inspections of subcontractor work.
Oversees subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor work. Reviews and audits subcontractor generated quality records.
Understands contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.
Performs other functions associated with this position as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality or related field and typically 10+ years related construction experience or a High School/Trade School diploma and work experience of at least 15+ years is required, as well as previous management experience. ASQ CMQ or CMQ/OE preferred. Evidence of previous certification required. Additional years of education beyond the minimum requirement are considered equivalent to years of related work experience.
Appropriate Quality Control Inspector Certification required within 12 months of employment.
It is anticipated that individuals will have experience overseeing procedures and/or activities in the following areas (or subjects): Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.

Responsibilities
This position requires a general understanding of testing and evaluations conducted in the plant raw material testing laboratory and supervision of lab quality technicians. The position interacts with plant, pipe operations, material science and product development while ensuring all required testing and projects are completed in a timely manner. The Supervisor Quality Lab reports to the RM Lab Quality Manager and interacts regularly with plant personnel.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Coordinate and track annual calibration and recertification of test and measurement equipment
* Measure and report lab compliance to standard to plant management and RM QA management
* Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure finished RM products meet required specifications and quality standards before delivery
* Oversee in hiring and training of lab technicians
* Conduct reviews of lab technicians with feedback from plant management
* Communicate quality standards and parameters to lab, plant and other personnel as appropriate
* Maintain compliance with federal, state, local and organizational standards and regulations
* Assist in developing and writing lab and quality management procedures
* Ensure test, calibrations, and training records are maintained
* Analyze test data to identify areas of growth or improvement and provide related reports to plant and RM QA management
* Collaborate with RM QA team, plant, pipe operations, material science and product development to identify failure trends and support investigations and improvement projects to reduce variability, contamination and escapes
