Position is Hybrid 2x per month in Rockville, MD. Position is moving to Gaithersburg, MD at the end of the year and will also require 2x per month.
HOW THE TEST ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Design and develop test and testing requirements for products, systems, software and/or related technology using independent judgement
Partner with applicable technology teams to determine testing parameters
Write test plans and create test cases for product(s)
Conduct quality assurance and design performance tests using established testing procedures
Partner with other department engineers and developers in creating practical test demonstrations for proposed technology
Provide troubleshooting for moderately complex testing errors and streamline testing procedures
Ensure testing methodology and procedures meet company and industry standards
Build and execute automated tests
Prepare reports and advanced analysis for testing
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and best practices relevant to the industry
Provides guidance and leadership to less experienced personnel
May serve as a team or task leader (not a people manager)
Participate in Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, grooming, estimation) to support innovation and enhancement of applications through iteration/functionality testing
Participate and collaborate with team members to assess Story Point/complexity efforts (using best practices) to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria
Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets
Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (ServiceNow Test Management/JIRA)
Provide early exploratory testing during the development phase
Design, code and deploy automated test scripts
Maintain test documentation, provide support to government test organization, evaluate test results, and provide feedback in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Pipeline

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Position Overview:
The Sr. Manager, Total Quality provides expert-level quality assurance, continuous improvement, and food safety guidance to Crown's Food Manufacturing facilities. This particular role has an emphasis on 3-piece can manufacturing and oversight of the Hanover, PA; Effingham, SC; and Oshkosh, WI facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide problem-solving leadership on technical, quality, and food safety matters relating to food can and end performance
Provide Corporate Quality oversight of the designated plants within area of responsibility
Provide Quality Manager training and coverage of assigned facilities during transitions and/or absences
Ensure adherence to customer requirements, quality control plans, SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements, and quality/ food safety policies
Aid plants in customer complaint responses, recalls, disposition of held product, and supplier claims
Complete food safety related customer questionnaires and documentation requests
Analyze process performance trends, conduct hazard analyses, identify corrective actions, and enact preventive measures within area of responsibility
Conduct audits and surveys of Crown facilities, suppliers, and customers
Participate as the Quality subject matter expert on any steering committees involving assigned facilities or area of responsibility

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Quality Management Systems, Project Management or a related Engineering discipline.
