Become familiar with pronouncements of the Financial Accounting Standards Boards and AICPA. Become proficient at auditing financial statements for clients. Obtain exposure on the types of financial statement engagements offered by JTaylor. Assume responsibility for various segments of audits under supervision. Be familiar with current accounting principles and auditing techniques. Execute day to day activities of audit engagements for multiple clients. Communicate auditing matters and problems to Senior Associates, Managers, and Partners. Acquire a working knowledge of the client's business. Become oriented with JTaylor's practices, policies, and culture. Obtain a minimum of 40 credits of CPE each calendar year or meet the Texas State Board requirements Manage non-billable time through self-study and self-development. Communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all levels of JTaylor. Communicate effectively with clients, when directed by a Partner or Manager. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or a related field. GPA of 3.0 or higher 0 - 2 years of work experience Written plan of completion of CPA if candidate is not already eligible Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Current and valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications: CPA or CPA eligible Advanced level audit and accounting courses Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Additional hours as needed to meet client expectations and deadlines. Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay for work at clients, meeting, or seminars.
