Job Description
The Underwriting Quality Auditor ensures the integrity, consistency, and compliance of underwriting practices across all lines of business. This role evaluates underwriting files, identifies risk and process gaps, and provides actionable feedback to drive accuracy, authority management, adherence to company guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Audit underwriting files to assess quality, accuracy, and compliance with company policies, appetite and authority statements, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Document findings and provide concise and constructive feedback and recommendations to underwriters and management.
Identify training opportunities and process improvements to enhance underwriting performance and reduce error trends.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing audit results, trends, and recommendations for senior management and monitor improvements.
Maintain awareness of regulatory, market, and internal policy changes impacting underwriting practices.
Support internal and external audit requests and contribute to continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance framework.
Participation in regular departmental planning meetings and other projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of underwriting experience with an Excess & Surplus or Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite including Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Background in quality assurance, claims, compliance, or knowledge of multiple insurance lines including specialty lines is a plus.
Working knowledge of underwriting systems, raters, workflows, and insurance regulations.
Strong written and oral communication skills
High degree of interpersonal effectiveness with a demonstrated ability to articulate review findings and make a case for change to leaders across various profit centers.
A high degree of discipline and self-motivation to manage multiple audits and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong analytical and investigative skills.
4-year Degree from an accredited University
The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Quality Assurance (QA) department.
- Manage an effective quality assurance program that monitors and resolves issues before they become problems.

The Role
Responsible for all aspects of quality control throughout all phases of assigned projects
Develop and maintain the quality control plan for assigned projects
Visit project sites routinely, performing inspections to ensure work is completed in compliance with contract requirements
Prepare and submit quality control reports
Communicate with internal and external leadership, escalating out of compliance work, safety, or quality control concerns
Conduct quality control meetings as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
1-2 years of telecommunications construction quality control experience required (i.e. must have worked in a cable install/construction role for a cabling company, an electrician position where cabling projects were completed, ISP or OSP underground or aerial construction experience, etc.)
Ability to travel daily to job sites in the area and open to a variety of schedules; evenings and/or weekends as needed
Ability to develop an understanding of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes etc.
Ability to learn how to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
Ability to learn and understand OSHA safety requirements and NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Ability to lift and carry 70lbs consistently
Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving

Project Overview
This role supports quality control operations on a new-build U.S. Air Force dormitory at Lackland Air Force Base.
Project Details:
• 250,000 square foot facility
• Five-story dormitory
• Post-tensioned concrete deck
• Precast panel facade
• Ground-floor equipment building with major MEP systems
You will work alongside Clark Construction's Quality Control team and report directly to the Quality Control Manager (QCM). This position acts as an extension of the QCM and supports Government inspections, including Critical System Acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in QC and coordination meetings
• Support all Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up)
• Provide QC oversight for structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes
• Assist with inspections, testing, and documentation
• Support Government and Critical System Acceptance inspections
• Verify work complies with contract documents and approved submittals
• Coordinate with testing agencies and special inspectors
• Maintain compliance with EM 385-1-1
• Document QC activities and report findings to the QCM
Required Certification
• Active CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
• Graduate degree required (see qualification options below)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verification of Consumer, Business, Fiduciary, and Foreign Individual CIP files generated by Relationship Bankers, Universal Bankers, and Private Bankers.
Responsible for the review of required consumer, business, and fiduciary new account documentation to include Beneficial Ownership, Model Account Disclosures, and other regulatory forms to ensure Quality Assurance.
Responsible for CIF and account level maintenance as it pertains to quality assurance.
Prepares and maintains data entry within Synapsys incidents ongoing throughout the day.
Responsible for working daily and outstanding tracking incidents in a timely manner.
