The Quality Inspector 2 position directly supports the Production Departments through incoming inspection of purchased components and final inspection of finished assemblies and components.
Responsibilities
* Conducts inspections of products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards
* Participates in gathering statistical data from product and processes
* Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro- mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
* Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards, and harness assemblies.
* Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
* Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
* Maintains Inspection records
* Creates & reviews First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) IAW AS9102
* Performs Customer source inspection
* Issues Authorized Release Certificates/Tags
* Maintains Calibration recall and records
* Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulation.

Job Summary:
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Nurse to ensure the contracted vendor provides appropriate, timely, and professional care to inmates at assigned facilities and/or contracted private prisons. This role will review contracts, monitor service delivery, review medical records, and oversee and conduct quality assurance audits ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, ADCRR policies and procedures, various rules and regulations and the National Correctional Health Care standards. The Quality Assurance Nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare vendor and operations to monitor processes implemented at the prison facilities as well as the general health care delivery by the contracted health care vendor.
Job Duties:
-Reviews and observes vendor and operational processes that pertain to inmate healthcare, including medication administration and utilization management
-Analyzes and synthesizes information to ensure appropriate process suggestions
-Reports issues of concerns to supervisory chain of command immediately
-Reviews medical records for appropriateness and timeline of both on-site and off-site care
-Assists as needed and works collaboratively with site monitors and conducts clinical reviews
-Tracks and reports monthly regarding care provided to specific inmates as assigned
-Utilizes clinical knowledge and skill to determine appropriate inpatient or general population placement of inmates
-Collaborates with healthcare vendors, ADCRR providers, and operations to ensure appropriate bed management of inpatient and special housing units
-Completes required reports, conducts research and composes correspondence, attends meetings and trainings and completes special projects and assignments within time frames
-Develops and maintains spreadsheets to track inmate health care access
-Addresses and conducts required updates for facility inventory control
-Conducts root cause analysis and collaborates with contracted health care vendors and operations to implement and sustain improved processes

What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare to inspect product by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections, and testing procedures.
• Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including, MIL-STD-1916 sampling size, First Articles, certificate of analysis, and conformity among others.
• Inspect product to verify conformance to specification of the parts by measuring dimensions using instruments such as gauges, calipers, comparators micrometers, optical comparator, etc.
• Perform First Article inspections as required
• Perform inspection and measuring tasks with minimum supervision
• Actively participate in Daily Visual Management activities and communicate with the Quality Engineering team to problem solve.
• Be dedicated to the integrity of the quality function and possess a drive to enhance the quality of both the product and processes.
• Be able to adapt to the use of new equipment and learn new product and materials.
• Perform other quality related duties and be flexible in the factory/plant as assigned based on business needs.
• Generate and perform verification activities on Non-Conforming Material and discrepancy reports.
• Complies with all Quality Procedures and Policies.
• Must have good verbal and written skills.

Required Experience & Skills:
• HS Diploma / GED and 2-5 years of relevant inspection experience is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to input, retrieve, access, and send information via computer.
• Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Note* Must have the ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years progressive inspection experience preferred in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
• Certified IPC J-STD-001 Specialist in solder inspection.
• 4+ years in a progressive manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience working with energetic materials.
• Advanced proficiency with detailed drawings including geometric tolerances, dimensions, general features, and blueprint reading.
• Experience with performing internal process audits.
• Advanced proficiency utilizing gauging including attribute and variable gauges.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong GD&T experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Working Conditions - Physical requirements and environment
• Approximately 20% of time at desk using computer.
• Approximately 80% of time on production floor, requiring safety glasses, protective footwear, and explosives handlers' outer garments, as needed.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crawl and stand for inspections of parts.
• Ability to lift materials up to 40-80 pounds with assistance.

Role Purpose:
Provide leadership, training, support and disciplines for establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support. Leads QA team. Assigns QA team work schedules, directs team, trains associates in required QA processes and monitor's associates' compliance and progress.
Key Accountabilities:
Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audit activities, observation, review of quality metrics and customer feedback.
Facilitate QA training for new and existing associates.
Review documents and instruction prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives. Incorporate QA, OP and PIM tools and methodologies, as appropriate, in performance of tasks.
Recommends appropriate methods for supporting the site operations' requirements for quality assurance compliance.
Lead/support coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities and provide direction for compliance with FDA, DEA, ATF, State and other similar regulatory requirements.
Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
Lead and facilitate development of QMS documentation.

The position is responsible for the quality of molded parts according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finish product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Informs production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related to mold validations, materials, and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures and process improvements.
Responsibilities
* Inspects parts being produced per established procedures.
* Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials.
* Responsible for controlling inventory within MRB
* Completes and interprets Statistical Process Controls charts and histograms, enters inspection data into the SPC software, analyses its trends and takes action to improve part quality.
* Assists and prepares QAP (Validation) packages.
* Creates/Improves automated measurement programs
* Ensure control plans and associated documentation are maintained.
* Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels, and defective parts per million (DPPM)
* Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes.
* May assist in train direct labor personnel and others.
* Undertakes special assignments as required.
