You will work as a team member alongside site managers and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services. BHJ USA, LLC. is a leading supplier of fresh/frozen meat blends to both the wet and dry pet food industries. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the quality control of the processing of raw materials for the pet food, pharmaceutical and feed industries. Supports QA staff by maintaining logs and record books; troubleshooting and resolving problems; helping with special projects, and data entry by performing the following tasks:
• Records observations and measurements and reports results
• Calibrates thermometers and other critical instruments used to verify customer specifications and standards.
• Reports deviations in data to Quality Manager and pursues corrective actions for resolution.
• Produces and distributes Certificates of Analysis (COA's) and finished material holds or releases to required personnel
• Monitors cooler and freezer for cleanliness and temperature specifications to protect integrity of raw material.
• Conducts live analytical test in all commodities to ensure required customer specifications are in range.
• Formulates recipes that adhere with customer specific analytics and weights while utilizing inventory availability minimizing product loss increasing profit margins.
• Prepares supplier incident reports by compiling data relative to product or transport/supplier services outside of compliance.
• Oversees production supervisors on all tanker/trailer seal identification procedures to ensure they are conducted correctly and documentation is accurate before releasing finished product to carrier.
• Observes temperatures on all inbound/outbound loads accepting/releasing or rejecting according to specifications.
• Inspects raw product to ensure that it conforms to established quality control guidelines such as kill dates and signs of decomposition.
• Verifies all production paperwork such as LOT# association adherence to recipe and weight for tracking purposes.
• Inspects the condition of the machine/equipment and tools to ensure no adverse conditions exists that may cause contamination. If found out of compliance a work order is issued to identify area in question.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
• Adheres to attendance guidelines of the company.
Will be frequently exposed to cool and wet conditions. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis and be able to work around raw beef, chicken or other similar raw materials and odors. Job Description
As a Project Engineering Technician I for Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE), you will be working under the immediate supervision/direction of a registered professional engineer. You will work as a team member alongside site managers and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services. Our special Inspections technicians play a critical role in the quality assurance for every construction project no matter how large or small. Special Inspections Technicians actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing along with the continuous monitoring of general contractor activities, which may include but are not limited to onsite testing and reporting of earthwork and soil construction; foundation/subgrade evaluation; reinforcing steel; concrete placements; masonry as well as asphalt testing. Special Inspections Technicians are also responsible for accurately preparing daily reports for submission to the assigned project engineer. These reports not only include your test results summary, but detailed construction site observations as well.
Minimum Job Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
Valid Driver's License with Clean Motor Vehicle Driving history (3 years)
Ability to work outdoors on a construction site in all seasons and weather conditions for extended periods of time.
You must be self-motivated, able to efficiently work independently while completing scheduled tasks.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members, BLE leadership, clients, local, state, and federal authorities of all levels.
Must be detail oriented and work in a time conscious and time effective manner.
Basic knowledge in the operation of smartphones and computers for communication and record keeping (MS Office applications Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, lift (50 pound), tug and pull, on unstable, unpaved ground.
Applicant Requirements
All newly employed Special Inspection Technicians are mandated to acquire the Special Inspector general Requirements Certification and one of the three (3) additional certifications within three (3) months of beginning the position, and the remaining two (2) certifications within the following eighteen (18) months, such that the technician has acquired, within two (2) years, the following certifications:
