The Quality/ Process Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real quality initiatives and contribute to meaningful projects that drive Quality Assurance across the organization. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Assist in the identification of process improvement opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder consultation
* Support the documentation of current processes working on SOP revisions
* Review/revise control plans
* Develop training materials, Quality Visual Aids, Work Instructions.
* Assist in Quality initiative deployment
* Contribute to meaningful projects that drive quality assurance, process improvement, and reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Currently enrolled in associate or bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline is required
* Be at least a sophomore within your degree program

Job Summary:
The Asphalt Roadway QC Tech is responsible for conducting laboratory and field tests on aggregates, asphalt and other materials to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality and integrity of roadway construction projects by performing accurate testing, documentation, and analysis of asphalt mixtures and related materials.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED is preferred. Associate's or technical degree in construction materials, civil engineering, or related field is highly preferred.
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in asphalt testing or construction materials lab work.
* Level 1B Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Roadway Specialist certification (TXAPA) is required.
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Perform laboratory testing of asphalt mixes including gradation, binder content, air voids, and stability.
* Conduct field sampling and testing of hot mix asphalt (HMA) during production and placement.
* Operate and maintain testing equipment such as gyratory compactors, ovens, scales, and sieves.
* Prepare and maintain accurate test records, reports, and documentation in accordance with DOT and company standards.
* Assist in mix design verification and troubleshooting quality issues during production.

**Job Summary**
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, helps Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient's condition, and provides routine and emergency care during procedures. Contributes to the orientation and training of other team members. Helps in daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.
**Essential Functions of the Role**
+ Helps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, implantable cardiac defibrillators, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy.
+ Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff. Provides emergency procedures like CPR and defibrillation as needed.
+ Performs pre and post-procedure care and monitoring.
+ Orients patients for catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.
+ Answers related questions to make patient relaxed.
+ Monitors patient's ECG, pressures, temperature and impendences while in Electrophysiology Lab; notifies physician of variances.
+ Helps in running RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping, and records other procedural documentation.
+ Manages and maintains images that may include stenosis testing, formatting and processing on both cardiac and peripheral cases.
+ Helps in procedure rooms and collects registry and quality data on appropriate forms.
+ Gathers catheterization data and prepares procedure reports.
+ Prepares and maintains sterile fields for Lab procedures.
+ Orders and maintains inventory of procedure room supplies.
+ Ensures procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment has not expired.
+ Coordinates and/or audits resources during yearly inventories.
+ Performs routine calibration and maintenance of complex equipment; notifies appropriate team members for fixes.
+ Help in the orientation and training of new staff and students or extra duties as established by supervisor/manager.
+ Oversees some level of quality control monitoring, such as NPSG auditing, turnaround times, performance improvement initiatives. (Daily, monthly and/or quarterly).
+ Participates in mutual governance, department, hospital, or professional organizations and committees. This includes LEAN initiatives, NOBLE, 5S projects, inter-departmental committees, professional organization participation, and QC assurance with managers.
+ Oversees the committee as requested.
+ Transports patients to and from procedural area.
+ Demonstrates good customer service skills.
**Key Success Factors**
+ Education and/or Experience requirements (must meet one of the following): - Associate's degree in a related field, or - Completion of US military training program and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree, or - 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
+ Must be available for On Call response requirements per facility/department policy.
+ Knowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation and techniques.
+ Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
