The Quality Lab Technician performs routine laboratory testing to ensure that raw materials, in-process bulk batches, and finished products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role is responsible for accurately preparing samples, conducting analytical and microbiological tests as directed, documenting results according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and maintaining a clean, orderly lab environment. Who You Are: 3+ years of experience in customer-facing quality roles within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or EV industries. Proven ability to manage field quality issues. Skilled in root cause analysis, 8D, and reliability data analysis for continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Willing to travel extensively (50-75%) to Upfitter sites. Preferred: Experience with last-mile delivery fleets, EV systems, telematics, remote diagnostics, and new vehicle launches. Review job documentation and report any deviations from blueprints or instructions. Assist with product launches, PPAPs, machine setups, and prototype inspections. Familiar with OSHA, EPA, and industry standards (ASTM, API, NFPA, ASME). Experience with Ford, GM, and Chrysler specifications preferred.
