A day in the role You start your shift by preparing the lab: verifying calibrations, reviewing test plans, and setting up equipment. Over the course of the day, you: Perform internal testing, internal checks, and cosmetic inspections on various cylinder types and sizes. Run burst, volumetric, and proof tests to confirm integrity and compliance. Carry out titrations and calibrations, ensuring instruments are accurate. Complete all lab work and paperwork with thorough, traceable records. Operate the real-time x-ray booth (where applicable) to evaluate internal features. Obtain samples using a band saw or plasma torch; prepare bend test, macro sample, and tensile specimens with a belt sander. Assist with other duties as assigned, collaborating with production and quality teammates. Schedule Must be flexible for assigned shift. This is an off shift role.
