    Duties and Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities * Must review castable set times provided by QA Monolithics in SAP and determine if additives are required before casting shapes. * Must use historical values in the ERP system to decide additive levels. * Read drawings/prints to see what the specifications and dimensions of the forms are supposed to be. * Using a tape measure and calipers verify the form dimensions are correct on all manufactured forms that are in the shapes department. * Will also verify all new fabricated forms that are brought into the shapes department from outside vendors. This information will be input into the shapes computer system. * Measure shapes after cast to verify they meet all size specifications. * Record and maintain all files of found results. * Find opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures. * Assist QA Supervisor in the investigation and resolution of Customer Service Requests. * Recommend measures to improve inspection and production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.     Job Description The Quality Technician ensures that all compounded products are manufactured in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and also meet all internal specifications. This position is responsible for performing a number of manual and automated quality assurance checks on in-process products and finished goods. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and respond to customer demands in a timely fashion are critical requirements of this position. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with other personnel in the Quality Department to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to the consumer. Job Activities and Responsibilities: Collect and send samples of compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) for sterility, potency, and endotoxin testing. Conduct environmental monitoring (e.g., air and surface sampling) in cleanrooms to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Perform visual inspection of finished drug products. Maintain incubation schedules of environmental monitoring sample plates and document results in associated reports and batch records. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all testing and inspections. Ensure all documentation complies with FDA 503B regulations, USP standards, and internal SOPs. Review batch records and verify that all procedures were followed correctly. Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, USP , USP, and other applicable guidelines. Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) when non-conformities are identified. Maintain quality records (equipment calibration and maintenance, training, deviation and noncompliance investigations, environmental monitoring, Certificate of Analysis, clean room certification etc.). Maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. Receive, store, and log in samples for testing analysis. Participate in investigations into any deviations, out-of-specification results, or product complaints. Collaborate with QA to resolve issues and prevent recurrence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Report quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages. Specific Responsibilities: * Check dimensions of pipe spigots, grind spigots and cut and taper pipe spigots when required. * Ensure that pipe bells are of good quality and within specifications by visual inspection, gauging, and by performing minor salvage work. * Weigh pipe on pipe weighs scales and marks pipe accordingly or applies label. * Perform many or all of the following duties on in-process (WIP) pipe, depending upon the job assignment: visually inspect gauges, record data, calipers, measure, tape, mark, labels. * Perform inspection duties on finished products and accessories (both incoming and outgoing) on the shipping yard. Perform inspection duties on pipe linings at the cement lining facility and general inspection duties on products in the packaging department. * Inspect pipe spigot visually and with calipers to ensure that pipe spigot is acceptable and within specifications. Skills and Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED, basic math skills, and a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience is required. * Previous foundry knowledge around melting, casting, annealing, inspection and testing procedures is desired.
