Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking an Electrical Project Manager - Data Center Construction with Field Experience to support a high-profile data center construction project. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the General Contractor's construction activities, with a strong focus on reporting on schedule status back to the project owner. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise from working in the field, strong leadership, and a background in large-scale data center/mission critical works or electrical contracting environments.
Responsibilities:
Effectively manage and collaborate with project stakeholders.
Effective communication across our internal team to ensure efficiency and a consistent delivery to the client.
Can analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized.
Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctly.
Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
Forecast and update key project milestones.
Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
Client management - assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
Strategic Thinking - provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients' objectives and business objectives.
Knowledge management - ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured.
Process improvement - Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Program Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of electrical construction, from preconstruction through L5 commissioning.
Oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, and closeout of all mission critical systems, with an emphasis on electrical support.
Ensure alignment with project goals, client expectations, and quality standards.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Oversee and report on works status in the field against the General Contractor's schedule and report on this daily and as required by the owner
Review and provide feedback against the GC contract schedule to mitigate and expose opportunities to avoid any impacts to the critical path.
Provide subject matter expertise in electrical systems, including substations, transformers, and power distribution.
Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and industry standards on field walks as part of QA/QC responsibilities
Identify project risks and report feedback on mitigation strategies to the General Contractor and owner
Ensure all electrical work meets quality and safety standards.
Manage method of procedure (MOP) review, feedback and execution.
Maintain/contribute to the site progress photo log and weekly reporting.
Assist in managing the closeout of all CX issues identified in the field with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of electrical project management experience, ideally in data center construction or with an electrical contractor.
Experience with substation and power distribution systems preferred.
Familiarity with MEP design
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management tools
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
Proficiency in the Data Center Commissioning Process (levels 1 -5 )
Proficiency managing construction documents including BODs, specifications, contract drawings, C/D/E's, equipment submittals and RFIs.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, P6, CxAlloy, and other construction project management tools

Program Responsibilities:
* Oversee all phases of electrical construction, from preconstruction through L5 commissioning.
* Oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, and closeout of all mission critical systems, with an emphasis on electrical support.
* Ensure alignment with project goals, client expectations, and quality standards.
* Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
* Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Oversee and report on works status in the field against the General Contractor's schedule and report on this daily and as required by the owner
* Review and provide feedback against the GC contract schedule to mitigate and expose opportunities to avoid any impacts to the critical path.
* Provide subject matter expertise in electrical systems, including substations, transformers, and power distribution.
* Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and industry standards on field walks as part of QA/QC responsibilities
* Identify project risks and report feedback on mitigation strategies to the General Contractor and owner
* Ensure all electrical work meets quality and safety standards.
* Manage method of procedure (MOP) review, feedback and execution.
* Maintain/contribute to the site progress photo log and weekly reporting.
* Assist in managing the closeout of all CX issues identified in the field with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
* Minimum 5+ years of electrical project management experience, ideally in data center construction or with an electrical contractor.
* Experience with substation and power distribution systems preferred.
* Familiarity with MEP design
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools
* Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
* Proficiency in the Data Center Commissioning Process (levels 1 -5 )
* Proficiency managing construction documents including BODs, specifications, contract drawings, C/D/E's, equipment submittals and RFIs.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, P6, CxAlloy, and other construction project management tools

**Snapshot of your Day:** This position is in the Quality Department in Richland, MS reporting to the Quality Manager. The position is accountable for ensuring product/process integrity for high voltage circuit breakers through the development and implementation of systems that support internal processes such as the nonconformance system, final or in-process inspections, and other QC related activities.

- Perform thorough inspections and apply rigorous standards to maintain product integrity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that reduce non-conformances.
- Support lessons learned, best practice sharing, and cost-reduction initiatives to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to address quality concerns and meet inspection requirements.
- Interpret electrical schematics, design drawings, and bills of materials to ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.
- Take ownership of reporting quality metrics, supporting containment activities, and contributing to high-impact cross-functional projects
**What you Bring:**
- High School Diploma or GED (Degree/technical degree preferred); ability to read electrical schematics, 2D AutoCAD drawings, and interpret bills of materials.
- Skilled in MS Office applications; familiarity with SAP and basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or quality roles preferred; understanding of high-voltage products and inspection processes is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, root cause analysis, and organizational skills to reduce non-conformance and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams while engaging customers and suppliers effectively.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills, capable of executing daily tasks, supporting high-impact projects, and achieving long-term goals aligned with company vision.
