PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1. Presentation :
Represents and projects the Quality Department in a positive manner.
Represents the department in various meetings within the plant (i.e. daily level 2 meeting.)
2. Leadership/Teamwork:

3. Training :
Assist in training and communication to employees on quality issues/procedures.
Must complete training as assigned in areas of quality and safety.
4. Organizational/Communication/Clerical Skills :
Must perform computer skills including accessing procedures & forms, sending email, formatting of spreadsheets, and data entry.
The candidate will be trained in SAP.
5. Technical Quality :
Must operate Lab Equipment and use chemicals safely.
Must conduct quality tests as assigned.
Must collect and prepare samples for analysis and correctly document results of testing.
Must prepare chemical solutions used in lab tests.
Understand and follow quality policies and procedures. Know how to find quality standards when questions arise.
Read, understand, and follow product specifications.
Properly respond to all quality hold situations.
Assure all Processes/HACCP checks are done correctly and timely during Production Quality audits.
Resample and retain unacceptable product and assist in rework.
Perform all other duties assigned by management.
6. Sanitation:
Perform basic sanitation duties in the lab.
SCHEDULED WORKING HOURS
Most of the working hours will be performed on scheduled for 2nd shift but must be able to work 1st shift in the event coverage is needed for vacation, illness, etc. Start time on 2nd shift may be adjusted to begin at 2:00 pm.
Initially training will take place on 1st shift.

The quality assurance/ quality control pre-op technician will focus on equipment inspection prior to start of operation so the production areas can be released to production. Is also responsible for implementing the company s quality programs. The tech will be responsible to conduct QA audits within the manufacturing facility and ensure GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, CCP and Gold Standard compliance. Evaluates finished goods to ensure strict adherence to internal and customer specifications regarding quality and safety.
