Assist maintenance and production teams during troubleshooting and equipment adjustments.
Train operators on proper techniques and process control standards when needed.
Participate in kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and other continuous improvement efforts.
Experience required
3+ year experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with molded fiber or paper-based processes is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of chemical dosing and ability to operate HMIs.
Ability to interpret process control data and make appropriate adjustments.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and adapt to changing priorities.

When assigned to backstage event support, the employee would provide behind-the-scenes support during events, including stage management; making sure artists are in place for performance; setting chairs and music stands; clearing stage before, during, and after a performance; ensuring that concerts run smoothly; troubleshooting when necessary and with limited supervision.
When assigned to the production booth, the employee would record and live stream music recitals, and handle stage lights, using equipment provided by the School of Music. Requires technical ability and knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work well with others. Must be reliable and a quick learner.

What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Document and Report Information. Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results. Communicate test results in a timely manner to the supervisor and properly document in a database.
Maintain Lab Standards. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Monitor Stockpile. Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites. Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to ensure that segregation and contamination is kept to a minimum or eliminated. Notify management immediately if contamination is identified.
Inspect Equipment and Structures. Conduct routine inspections of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions.

The CMA for Quality Assurance in Healthcare is an important member of the Quality Assurance program who assists with collecting clinical data, QI summaries, reports, clinical training, and monitoring of all clinical quality measures. This position assists with Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) program activities by working with the QI Coordinator towards NCQA accreditation status. This position also assists the QI Coordinator with reporting data requirements for Q/I, UDS, ACO, HEDIS, and PCMH; recommends changes and assists with implementation as necessary for improved program outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Assists QI Coordinator to foster compliance with standards and regulations in areas of Quality Assurance, UDS data analysis, PCMH benchmarks, ACO measures and HEDIS.
2. Identifies barriers to implementing PCMH model and works with staff to develop solutions to address barriers.
3. Conducts chart audits as required by PCMH to evaluate if locations are meeting the PCMH requirements.
4. Participates in submission of PCMH documentation using NCQA submission tools.
5. Assisting the Quality Assurance Program by gathering monthly data and reports for statistical and planning purposes, identifying adverse trends and recommending corrective action to improve outcomes.
6. Provides education to staff on benchmarks and goals of the Quality Assurance Program, PCMH, Meaningful Use, and UDS requirements.
7. Other duties as assigned by Executive Leadership or the QI Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
Requires at a minimum a High School Diploma/GED.
Current Certified Medical Assistant certification REQUIRED.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous outpatient, primary care experience required.
Maintains annual competencies/nursing skills checklist.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
* A High School diploma or GED is required. An associate's degree or some college preferred (Chemistry/Math). Or 3 - 5 years of experience working in a similar Quality Assurance environment
* Must understand, read, write and speak the English language.
* Able to access, read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures, Safety and Health manuals and procedures, Quality Control terminology (i.e. units of measure, etc.)
* Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and basic statistics (may use a calculator to aid in calculations).
* Must act and work in a safe and healthy manner (both laboratory and plant practices).
* Must have basic knowledge of computers (software and hardware), and be willing to improve skills
* Must have good overall communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.
* Must be able to handle high stress environment due to performing multiple activities independently with time limitations.

Physical Requirements
* Works mostly inside in a climate controlled indoor laboratory-type environment however may go into plant occasionally for samples, etc.
* Must be able to ascend and descend 14 stairs a minimum of 2 times per shift.
* Must be able to empty sample bucket as needed during shift
* Routinely exposed to vibrations, chemicals, dust for a 12-hour shift.
* Must be able to stand for majority of a 12-hour shift.
* Must be able to use hands/fingers to feel, hold and move objects. Must use arms to lift/reach.
* Must be able to communicate using a handheld radio as well as a standard telephone.
* Must have good eyesight and be able to wear the required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection etc. as required).
* Must be able to transport retain samples to the appropriate storage area.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Technician/Research Associate will assist scientists and students including undergraduate students in daily experiments, conduct independent experiments, collect and analyze data, write reports, maintain records/log books/ lab equipment/ inventories, feed animals, conduct tissue culture experiments, and order supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist independent researchers such as Project Director, Post Doc and Research Associates in the field or the laboratory.
Assist Research Specialists with executing research activities as part of a team to perform daily required maintenance of research activities, maintain tidiness of work areas, take observation, record data, and maintain research notebooks.
Enter research data in MS Excel or other workbooks.
Represent the lab in activities such as the Georgia National Fair, AG Field Day and AG Expo, seminars.
Report daily activities to supervisor.
Work to create a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree in Entomology, Plant Science, Botany, Biology, Public Health or Food Science, or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in working with row crop entomologists
Prior experience working in the field and greenhouse growing crops, greenhouse, or working experience for any research in the field or laboratory
Experience in integrated pest management, particularly in biological control and microbial pesticides
Knowledge data collation and analysis
WORK CONDITIONS:
Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Occasional evening/night/weekend work required according to the needs of the department
Occasional travel required for research activities and for presenting research papers in professional meetings
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Working outdoors, greenhouse, or in the lab
Sitting for extended periods of time, occasional standing, lifting heavy objects, performing repetitive tasks
Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
