Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Electrical & System Testing

Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Quality Technician II will be to support Quality Systems including calibration and document control to assure that equipment and documents are maintained in compliance with Heraeus procedures and applicable regulations and standards.
What You'll Do Every Day:
Maintains calibrated equipment in calibration system with accuracy and completeness.
Tracks calibration status of equipment and notifies departments/owners when equipment is due for calibration.
Reviews calibration records to ensure compliance to ISO standard and calibration procedure requirements.
Identifies, reports and documents all discrepancies, and potential problems. Participates in root cause analysis. Assists QE in nonconforming out of tolerance report transactions, management and tracking of nonconformances to completion.
Performs complex visual and dimensional inspection of various calibrated tools and equipment to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Assures document control and record keeping activities are carried out and completed in compliance with established procedures and work instructions.
Processes document change requests within the document control system through document approvals and release. Compile calibration and document control data for internal review and trending.
Occasional travel for cross site support between White Bear Lake and Fridley, Minnesota.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma required; trade school, associate/technical degree or CQT/CMI certification a plus.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in inspection or quality systems.
Proficient with use of precision tools such as calipers, gauges, microscopes, comparator, laser micrometer and video inspection equipment.
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Statistical techniques.
Proficient using Microsoft Office and calculators.
Experience with ISO 17025, ISO 10012, ISO 13485 and NIST standards a plus.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Train the Trainer experience a plus.

This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. PROBLEM SOLVING

Corrective Action - Help conduct investigative and thorough inquiries to seek root cause and determine corrective actions using 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone or other quality tools.

POSITION SUMMARY
The responsibilities of an Advanced Quality Technician are to perform tasks in the process of inspecting and testing science products. Duties may require interpreting results, inventory, and participation in complaint investigations. This position will participate in the continuous improvement of our products and customer-centered culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished goods to ensure specifications and quality standards are met with minimal instruction and supervision.
Conduct inspection of product literature and labels to ensure accuracy.
Attention to detail. Ability to reconcile documents. Compile, analyze and report on data of moderate complexity.
Consistently advocate for Quality Ideals by demonstrating commitment to meeting quality requirements in daily work
Make decisions based on data or results of work.
Draft and revise standard operating procedures (SOP's).
Propose and Implement process improvements.
Utilize relevant internal databases and job-applicable software programs effectively.
Demonstrate a high level of problem-solving ability with the capacity to suggest future changes.
Participate in training less experienced employees.
Fill in for all Quality Technician duties as needed.
Follow guidelines and comply with all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years related experience or an associate degree with 0+ years of experience. Must have proficient computer and data entry skills, organizational skills, and excellent proofreading skills. Must be detail oriented. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
