MAIN OBJECTIVES:
In this role, you will act as the focal point for the manufacture of DuPont Molykote at the Cooper River site. The goal of the Operator/Mechanic position is to efficiently and effectively operate and maintain the plant equipment and systems in a way that safely produces quality products, minimizes cost and protects the environment.
TASKS:
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Meet behavior expectations in the areas of EHS, quality, productivity, and teamwork and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts. Have a flow-to-work mentality while being disciplined, committed and solution-driven.
Maintain safety standards at all times and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
Perform routine and non-routine tasks as assigned, but not limited to, operating process equipment, work tasks outlined on task boards, on-shift predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM), breakdown repair and scheduled shutdown/turnaround activities.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Patrol assigned area to visually inspect, monitor equipment and process conditions to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and environmental regulations.
Load and unload material to/from box trailers, tank trailers, totes and drums.
Operate fork trucks and motorized equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Successful candidate will need to be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
Willing and able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including overtime, nights, weekends, holidays and short notice call-in as required
Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hardhat, Nomex, protective eyewear, face shields, respirator, chemical and thermal protective equipment, etc.
Overtime is required to cover vacancies due to illness, vacation of other team members, scheduled meetings and increased production demand.

2nd Shift
This position reports to the FSQ Supervisor and is responsible for execution of Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) routines in manufacturing of aseptic food and beverage products.
Job Responsibilities
Execute Quality Monitoring Scheme routines across all manufacturing processes, including batching, processing, filling, and packaging.
Execute physical and chemical testing of raw batches, finished products and any other testing as defined by the Quality Monitoring Scheme.
Execute postproduction testing, including Microbiological testing on quarantine samples.
Execute pre-operation routines, which includes sanitation approval for equipment and environment, and compliance against product change-over requirements.
Execute CIP validation utilizing allergen swabs.
Coordinate collection and storage of finished product samples during manufacturing operation.
Execute hold routines including creating events for nonconforming ingredients, packaging material, raw batches, and finished products.
Execute review and approval of food safety and quality records created throughout shift.
Execute verification routines for Pre-Requisite records and Programs.
Provide contribution towards root cause analysis and customer complaint investigations.
Provide contribution towards maintenance and improvement of FSQ documentation practices.
Scan/file records as needed.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping of FSQ Lab area.
Other duties, as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally.
Ability to document, describe and interpret records and documented specifications.
Ability to enforce company procedures and policies.
Ability to document inspection findings legibly and with accuracy.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Preferred Qualifications
BS in Food Science, Food Engineering or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a QA function within food or beverage manufacturing industry.
Work experience and trained in HACCP.

SALARY DEPENDS ON QUALIFICATIONS This position, working under the direction of the Engineering Field Coordinator, typically performs construction observation for conformance with approved plans, post construction inspection of stormwater facilities, and/or development of plans for projects designed in-house. Must deal courteously and professionally with citizens and coworkers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Performs interim, final and warranty inspections on site work, roadways and stormwater systems for compliance with regulations, standards and approved plans.
* May assist in surveys for roadway and storm drainage feasibility.
* Independently prepares inspection reports for distribution to developers, contractors and other divisions.
* Assists in the preparation of maps, databases and plans.
* Reviews as-built drawings for conformance with design plans and consistency with construction observations and reports.
* Interacts with contractors, consultants, developers, utilities, regulatory agency representatives and the general public.
* Prepares, organizes and maintains engineering/construction field and office data, reports and systems.
* May assist the Engineering Field Coordinator in the preparation of project warranty and acceptance documentation.

Special Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
