Quality, food safety, and consistency are critical to their operation, and this role plays a key part in protecting the brand, the consumer, and the production process. Position Overview The QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality assurance activities within a food manufacturing environment, ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements. This role leads QA technicians on the floor, supports production in real time, and ensures compliance with food safety programs including HACCP, GMP, and FSMA, with a strong focus on canned and thermal-processed products. This is a hands-on role that balances people leadership, documentation, and plant-floor presence. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Daily Operations Lead, train, and support QA Technicians across production shifts Assign and prioritize daily QA coverage to support production schedules Serve as the primary QA point of contact during assigned shifts Coach team members on food safety, quality standards, and proper documentation Quality Assurance & Food Safety Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety requirements Perform and oversee inspections of raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods Verify adherence to HACCP plans, GMPs, SSOPs, and preventive controls Ensure proper monitoring of critical control points, especially for thermal processing and canning operations Testing, Verification & Documentation Oversee sampling, testing, and verification activities for product quality and food safety Review and approve batch records, QA logs, corrective actions, and deviation reports Ensure accurate, timely documentation to support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and customer requirements Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions Regulatory & Audit Support Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA (as applicable), and FSMA requirements Support third-party audits and customer audits (SQF, BRC, FSSC, or similar) Maintain audit readiness through proper documentation and plant practices Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Production, Maintenance, and R&D to resolve quality issues Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce defects, and strengthen food safety culture Participate in new product introductions and process changes from a QA perspective What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred Equivalent hands-on experience in food manufacturing quality may be considered Experience 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or quality control Experience in canned foods, thermal processing, or shelf-stable products strongly preferred Prior supervisory or lead experience required Skills & Knowledge Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and preventive controls Understanding of thermal processing, CCP monitoring, and food safety documentation Strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable working on the production floor and addressing issues in real time Proficient with Microsoft Office and QA documentation systems Preferred Certifications HACCP Certification Experience with GFSI-recognized programs such as SQF, BRC, or FSSC 22000 Additional Requirements Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, or off-shifts as needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs Exposure to varying temperatures, food allergens, and manufacturing equipment

The Company produced and transported ~6 million meals in 2023. Meals are currently procured, warehoused, assembled, packaged, labeled, frozen, and shipped from the company's HQ in Twin Falls, ID. The Quality Technician plays a vital role in monitoring and maintaining all aspects of product safety and quality that enhances the customer experience and our food safety adherence. As such, the Technician performs multiple checks on product in finished goods form and as product is processed to meet our internal standards for food safety and quality. Feedback to quality process owners (e.g. operations technicians and management) with immediate corrective actions implemented is the primary means of ensuring process quality and, subsequently, a high integrity product. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE The Quality Technician position at FLUIDRA will be responsible (under limited supervision) for maintaining quality standards by reviewing, analyzing and disposition of incoming and in-process materials resulting from customer returned products (RMA Analysis) and/or internally rejected materials (MRB) from any area within the Supply Chain process (Receiving, manufacturing, warehouse / handling and inspection areas), recording any quality results and maintaining quality records per company policy. The QC Inspector shall be experienced in writing NCMR's (non-conforming material reports through Oracle preferably) and documenting Corrective Actions Reports for Quality Engineers as well as utilizing emails to communicate these rejections/CARs to buyers and Supplier's when needed. This person will interact with material handlers on a day-to-day basis as well as with Receiving, Production Planning/Scheduling and Inventory Control teams to assure accurate and efficient processing/movement of non-conforming materials both physically and in the ERP system which will include acceptance and disposition into the appropriate sub-inventory location of products mainly via the FLUIDRA MRB Meetings. At the same time, this person will ensure both the RMA and MRB areas are appropriately organized and cleaned including accuracy of product as per Oracle inventory requirements. This person will also support the Receiving Inspection area/process with material handling support to QC Inspectors when needed as well as visual inspections when materials require either sample or 100% inspections. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE The Quality Technician position at FLUIDRA will be responsible (under limited supervision) for maintaining quality standards by reviewing, analyzing and disposition of incoming and in-process materials resulting from customer returned products (RMA Analysis) and/or internally rejected materials (MRB) from any area within the Supply Chain process (Receiving, manufacturing, warehouse / handling and inspection areas), recording any quality results and maintaining quality records per company policy. The QC Inspector shall be experienced in writing NCMR's (non-conforming material reports through Oracle preferably) and documenting Corrective Actions Reports for Quality Engineers as well as utilizing emails to communicate these rejections/CARs to buyers and Supplier's when needed. This person will interact with material handlers on a day-to-day basis as well as with Receiving, Production Planning/Scheduling and Inventory Control teams to assure accurate and efficient processing/movement of non-conforming materials both physically and in the ERP system which will include acceptance and disposition into the appropriate sub-inventory location of products mainly via the FLUIDRA MRB Meetings. At the same time, this person will ensure both the RMA and MRB areas are appropriately organized and cleaned including accuracy of product as per Oracle inventory requirements. This person will also support the Receiving Inspection area/process with material handling support to QC Inspectors when needed as well as visual inspections when materials require either sample or 100% inspections. Other duties or changes may apply depending on company/business needs. Additionally, you will: Responsible for routinely conducting departmental Quality and/or Safety Audits Perform inspections for compliance with specifications using blueprints, drawings, inspection procedures, and prior knowledge of fabrication methods to evaluate if deficiencies are present in systems, structures, assemblies, or parts.
