Job Description
Quality Assurance Technician for a Plastic Bottle Manufacturing Company
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections and audits by the means of visual and dimensional checks of the finished goods produced during the shift. This position will help monitor raw material defects; prepares defect reports to help continuously improve quality of supplied raw materials.
The Quality Assurance Technician will assist the shift supervisor in the training and overview of the bottle inspectors to insure proper bottle inspection, and packing methods of the daily production produced during the shift.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING REQUIRED
Ensures all finished goods meet or exceeds the customer expectations in quality and shipping requirements.
Helps production supervisors direct the shift activities regarding quality and training of all employees in the areas of quality control requirements, standards and procedures, and recognition of materials, which should be scrap vs, regrind.
Follow quality control methods to ensure that all employees can identify product for rejects, rework, etc. and to ensure that all customers receive product, which meet or exceed the customers' standards.
Help communicate all quality issues to support staff to ensure quick resolution.
Performs quality checks (visual or dimensionally) of product to assure container's meet or exceed customer requirements.
Help assure GMP, AIB and/or SQF regulations are followed during shift.
Knowledge and/or willingness to learn the in-house inventory systems and general computer (PC) for all types of data entry, reports and internal communications.
Must complete basic QC training program, with follow up and ongoing training programs.
Must be willing to complete quality, testing program with a specified test score for position.
Must complete 3-5 training classes, pertaining to job classification, within 90 days. These classes will be pre-arranged by Parker Plastics (if applicable).

Qualifications
High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred

JOB SUMMARY:
The Graphics Production Technician at Astound is responsible for executing high-quality graphics production processes, including SEG (Silicone Edge Graphics) staging, large format printing, vinyl application, and maintenance of production machinery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Quality Tech - Supplier Quality position is the lead point-of-contact between the DA operations team and our vendors/ suppliers, and is responsible for overall performance and improvements in supplier quality and material quality. This position works within the Distributive Assembly (DA) and Riverside Quality System, and uses root cause analysis techniques, and trend/ statistical analysis to assist in the continual improvement of the DA's manufacturing processes.

Organizational Relationship:
This position will report to the Quality Manager as a member of the Continuous Improvement and Quality Department.
Accountabilities:
Request, coordinate and track through completion vendor corrective actions
Develop new metrics and processes to improve material quality (for example: First Pass Yield)

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for 1st Shift (7AM-4PM).
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance: Leveraging analytical equipment and hand gauges to inspect, test, and measure products, components, and materials meticulously.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment used to validate adherence to customer specifications.
Documentation and Reporting: Creating precise dimensional records and reviewing quality documentation for complete accuracy. Report findings promptly to the supervisor and initiate appropriate actions.
Process Audits: Conducting process audits to ascertain process control and fostering continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Maintenance/Production teams.
Safety and Training: Embracing a culture of safety by attending meetings and training sessions and strictly following all safety guidelines.
Material Inspection: Executing incoming inspection control for raw materials to secure the quality of the process.
Requirements
A high school diploma (associate degree is a substantial plus).
At least 1 year as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
A background in the Steel Rolling Industry is preferred.
Familiarity with a range of gauges, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement approaches, with Six Sigma certification as a desirable attribute.
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software is favored.
Technical Proficiency: The ability to read and decipher drawings, specifications, and work instructions with a firm grasp on GD&T interpretation and measurement techniques.
Communication Excellence: Masterful communication skills to report quality non-conformities, coupled with bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish, would be a significant asset.
Documentation Skills: Expertise in documenting audit findings and quality checks clearly and concisely.
Organizational Prowess: An innate talent for organization, adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, showcasing urgency and attention to detail.
