The Quality Assurance Specialist performs routine monitoring work and uses statistical sampling, auditing, and observation of work to ensure consistent compliance with policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conducts monitoring and makes recommendations for improvement and maintains documentation on program reviews.
Compiles required monitoring documents and submits responses to Quality Assurance Lead.
Provides technical assistance on workforce services programs.
Maintains knowledge on current and future programs to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Job Summary
PPG Quality is seeking skilled Quality Technicians specializing in visual inspection and leak detection to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring product integrity and compliance with quality standards through advanced inspection techniques.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using borescopes for internal visual inspections and conducting smoke injection testing to identify leaks and verify system performance. You will work closely with leadership teams to identify defects, document findings, and support continuous improvement efforts.
This position requires a strong commitment to precision, safety, and quality, along with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Perform internal inspections using borescopes to detect missing welds, defects, contamination, or abnormal conditions.
Conduct smoke injection and leak detection tests to verify system integrity.
Perform component disassembly and reassembly using manual and power tools as required.
Replace gaskets, seals, or other components (materials provided).
Conduct final leak checks using approved methods (e.g., soap and water testing).
Accurately document inspection results, defects, part numbers, and findings.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards and safety procedures.
Use measurement tools and test equipment (training provided if needed).
Job Qualifications
Experience with borescopes, leak testing, smoke machines, or NDT related inspection tools.

Phlebotomy experience of all age groups and experience in working with the public. Current BLS/CPR Certification required. MLT Certification preferred. This position requires an initial N95 mask fit testing and annual test fitting thereafter unless there is a significant change during the year that requires retesting prior to the annual fit testing.

The CBP Aircraft Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within required specifications of 14 CFR Parts 43, 91 and 125 and other FAA and DOD regulations, OEM instructions and CBP directives as required and are airworthy before operation.

Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics performing maintenance repairs and modifies aircraft structures, aircraft engines, electrical, avionics and aircraft sub-systems.
