Technical Support: Respond to technical inquiries from operators, engineers, maintenance personnel and Customer regarding SMT equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and component placement issues. Assists/Lead diagnosing problems through analysis of error codes, machine logs, and visual inspection, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Provide remote troubleshooting support via phone, email, and remote access tools. Conduct on-site troubleshooting and repairs as needed, including adjustments to machine parameters and component placement settings. The Quality Control Inspector may also perform aircraft maintenance (including inspection), preventive maintenance and alteration and assist customers with technical and operational support relative to the customer's aircraft. Job Summary: Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician (QT) will be an expert in the quality requirements of each production line as well as the quality system (APC). Identify and replenish supplies of test solutions, cross section materials, and other quality consumables. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Li-ion battery recycling operation. This critical role reports directly to the Head of Quality and plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our battery disassembly, processing, and finished product quality. This position is for our D-shift staff, working nights, Thursday through Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Requirements Experience: Proven professional experience (2+ years) in a quality control, technician, or related technical role, preferably within a manufacturing, recycling, or complex technical environment. Battery Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with Li-ion battery technology, including familiarity with common battery pack and module architectures. Perform visual, dimensional, and functional quality inspections on incoming Li-ion battery packs and modules to ensure non-conforming material does not enter our recycling process. Work closely with production personnel during the disassembly process to verify adherence to quality and safety standards.
