The role involves developing an Equipment Log using various forms, one-lines, drawings, BOMs, etc., and identifying OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment to ensure its proper documentation. Responsibilities include tracking the receipt of proper OFCI, maintaining a tracking document, and coordinating with Materials, Quality, Production, and Project Management groups upon receipt. You will act as a liaison to the project management group to ensure clients are informed about what has and hasn't been received, prepare receiving reports, and coordinate with the NETA testing group to prioritize their testing sequence. Additionally, the position involves completing clients' prescribed notification systems such as Procore, ACC, BIM, etc., tracking equipment through the assembly process to ensure proper usage, and ensuring that equipment will work in the process as designed (e.g., stub-ups, openings). Job Overview:
The Quality Technician performs a variety of tests to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure, using test instruments: Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Key contributor of the manufacturing quality assurance organization by performing daily audits of the manufacturing process to ensure all products and processes are abiding by the specifications and standards set by the leadership teams

In this job you will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of sub assembles and products per the appropriate standards and specifications. Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to oversee the quality assurance processes at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure all products meet our high standards of quality and compliance. This role involves supervising a team, conducting regular inspections, and collaborating with other departments to maintain and improve product quality.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform hourly quality audits, first piece inspection for production runs
Enforce and follow all quality system policies and procedures
Document all audit findings and communicate any non-conformances immediately to appropriate staff
Read blueprints and interpret complex 2D drawings
Read geometric dimensions and tolerance characteristics and symbols based on ANSI/ASME practices
Verify all measuring equipment meets calibration standards and notify the Lead Quality Technician of any equipment requiring calibration
Provide basic quality training to machine operators and other production personnel to ensure that inspection activities comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
Assist senior management and the Lead Quality Technician with quality issues identified by customers; lead initiatives in corrective/ preventative action programs
Work with manufacturing staff to solve quality-related problems
Participate in all continuous improvement efforts in all aspects of quality
Perform incoming inspection of materials and components as needed
Follow company policies as outlined in the employee handbook
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job

Position Specifications and Requirements
A high-school diploma or GED is required
Basic proficiency with MS Office applications, MS Word and MS Excel preferred
Ability to work without direct supervision and the work ethic to consistently complete tasks in a timely manner
Basic knowledge of quality terms, definitions and concepts
Understands basic statistical terms and techniques, how to plot data and how to recognize out-of-control conditions when required
Basic understanding of Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) and the team concept for continuous improvement
Significant experience with various types of measurement and measurement terminology
Must be able to select the appropriate measuring tools and techniques
Ability to identify/recognize inspection errors and initiate resolution
Understand the concept of calibration and/or experience with gauge R&R
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major and minor characteristics
Ability to use inspection planning tools and perform a product audit; determine the sample size for lots; pull random samples
Knowledge of general testing methods is required and knowledge of testing methods within injection molding or NSF/ASTM standards is preferred
Ability to identify and report nonconforming material
Understand traceability (product, material and calibration).
Strong knowledge of basic mathematical operations and performing measurement conversions; excellent cognitive skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
