POSITION SUMMARY:
Global Atlantic's Corporate Actuarial Team is seeking an Associate to join the team in the Boston, MA location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in quarterly Cash Flow Testing for the company's onshore life and annuity business and ensure the timely and accurate preparation, validation, and delivery of Cash Flow Testing results.
Develop, update, and maintain controls for Cash Flow Testing process.
Work closely with modeling team to implement model changes that reflect new regulatory requirement or business need into Cash Flow Testing models.
Collaborate with modeling team on model and assumption changes; Validate and perform reasonableness review of CFT impacts.
Work with valuation actuaries to understand statutory reserves and liability assumptions. Perform independent review of liability inputs and outputs.
Execute on timely production of asset in-force file and related controls around asset listing and projections.
Participate in year-end statutory filings, help construct actuarial memorandums and other regulatory submissions.
Support the Appointed Actuary and other actuarial leadership in evaluating and determining actuarial accounting policy and methodology for new and existing products as directed and appropriate.
Support internal and external audit functions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to a four-year college degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or other related field is required.
FSA with more than four years of experience in the life/annuity insurance industry.
Direct experience with Statutory valuation and actuarial modeling.
Proficient in Python and hands-on experience with large data set is a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ownership, adaptive and self-motivated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively in meeting the internal and external member's needs.
Responsible for departmental project management and will be the lead contact in all mergers and acquisitions, system upgrades, and conversions.
Coordinate with other departments, and/or third-party vendors in the development and implementation of all process improvements affecting the Collections Department.
Coordinates all Vendor Management activities, including contract renewals, obtaining necessary documents, and submission of all new requests for final approval by SVP/Collections & Recoveries.

Communicates process changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation - to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that technology issues and solutions within the account resolution department are understood.
Manages the timely audit of necessary data for year-end reporting documents, including but not limited to 1099C. Oversees the production and distribution of said documents by appropriate processing team.
Manages KaiNexus for the Collections Department. Reviews, researches, completes necessary analytics, and compiles evaluation and recommendation for prioritization and implementation to present to Department Leader. Works closely with other Information Technology teams and other Credit Union departments; coordinating projects that need shared resources, determining and resolving any overlapping impacts on various systems, and ensuring good working relationships between all employees.
Provides support and assistance during internal, state, and federal audits and examinations.
Assists Leaders with various projects within the department.
Supports the SVP/Collections & Recoveries and department leaders with other duties and tasks necessary to ensure the Collections Department is efficient and successful.
Manages Quality Assurance process for department completing monthly call monitors for staff, scoring specific number of calls for each individual within the department, providing coaching and feedback on the effectiveness of each call.
Completes monthly quality assurance reviews for support staff tasks such as case audits, Loss Mitigation applications, workflow completeness, E-Oscar compliance for notifications and response, charge-offs etc.
Identifies opportunities for and participates in the development and implementation of process improvements to improve efficiency, compliance, and to reduce the opportunity for human error.
Provides ongoing mentoring for staff within the department ensuring that consistent communication and support is available, including a 30/60/90-day check-in with new hires.
Serves as the point of contact for all Collection complaints, including thoroughly investigating and documenting customer complaints, and if applicable, rectify any issues while complying with company policies and regulations

The prime objective of the Automation Engineer is to program all Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) control loops to fully automate all plant systems and subsystems. Role & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards, and company policies.
Principle responsibility for programming the Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) logic that controls the day-to-day plant operations, including rock crushing and conveying, rock blending and grinding, the pyro-processing system, clinker handling, finish milling, and cement shipping operations.
Responsible for learning Delta V, Rockwell, or other PLC programming logic and staying current in the programming field so that evolving control technology can be applied in plant operations.
Interacts and coordinates efforts with other plant departments to maintain safety controls, quality emphasis, efficient operations and compliance with permit regulations.
Maintains data servers, coordinating efforts with the Information Technology Department, so that data can be stored using the plant data historian (IP.21) and can be utilized and retrieved as needed by operations, maintenance and regulatory agencies.
Maintains current back up of systems so that operations can be restored in a timely manner should control hard drives be lost for any reason.
Maintains a log of all programming changes to the process detailing the change made and the effective date of the change.
Works closely with the Production and Process personnel to refine and update programming changes as needed.
On-call responsibilities to cover a 24 hour, 365 day operation as directed by the Production Manager.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, while building rapport with team members/Vendors/Consultants/Customers.
Study, read, and understand field equipment drawings, manuals, and plans to understand operation and aid in problems solving efforts.
Ability, Skills, & Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field; or a 2-year technical related degree and 5+ years equivalent experience
