Conduct thorough, fact-based root cause analyses for significant quality and food safety events.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to execute projects, address issues, and improve processes.
Organize, analyze, and visualize quality data using tools such as Power BI.
Develop and deliver training on QA systems; provide guidance in product evaluation and QA activities.
Maintain QA databases and records; manage QA requests and ensure timely follow-up aligned with quality objectives.
Lead meetings and communications regarding QA system performance, concerns, and updates.
Prepare and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics; effectively communicate findings at all organizational levels.
Mentor team members in QA data analysis, trend identification, and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School or Equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Background in food science or related science area preferred prefer a degree in Engineering, Food Science, or Life Sciences
Computer literacy
Experience in reporting tools like Tableau or power BI preferred.
Understanding of HACCP
Expert Microsoft Excel
An understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Ability to work independently
Strong math skills

Position
The Quality Engineer is responsible for improving product quality, increasing process efficiency, and reducing operating costs by reducing variation in the inputs to manufacturing. The Quality Engineer will ensure customer satisfaction by improving products and through processes inspection methods to analyze product quality. The Quality Engineer will establish metrics to monitor effectiveness of processes and adjust, as necessary.
Responsibilities
Active participation in company New Product Introduction (NPI) process - Act as the Quality department's focal in establishing and releasing new products to the manufacturing floor by creating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Control Plans.
The Quality Engineer will work with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel to ensure smooth transition of new product from the planning stage through delivery of product to the customer.
Support AS9100 requirements.
Participate as the Quality focal for internal/external corrective actions resulting from non-conformances.
Provide guidance to teams in performing immediate action activities, drilling down to a root cause statement, and developing a robust action plan to implement effective and sustainable solutions.
Perform process audits to assess compliance, capability and effectiveness of various manufacturing processes and specifications.
Help to develop and maintain metrics that show the current condition of the processes and help to improve the manufacturing process.
Support the Quality team by providing clear, accurate information.
Create Standard Work Instructions (SWI's) as needed to allow for easier cross training of personnel.
Research and analyze specifications to make sound decisions based on customer/industry documentation.
Review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure completeness and compliance with the AS9102 standard.
Participate in continuous improvement activities pertaining to customer feedback, management, manufacturing, and supply chain processes
Required Qualifications
