Product Testers are wanted to work from home nationwide in the US to fulfill upcoming contracts with national and international companies. We guarantee 15-25 hours per week with an hourly pay of between $25/hr. and $45/hr., depending on the In-Home Usage Test project. No experience required.
There is no payment required in order to apply or to work as an In-Home Usage Tester. You don't have to buy products or pay for shipping, everything is paid by our company. In-Home Usage Testers are considered independent contractors, we pay weekly every Wednesday by direct deposit or by cheque.

Main Duties:
Properly document In-Home Usage Tests as instructed in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule (screenshots, audio recordings, videos, product journal entries, etc.)
Take care of the product being tested and use it responsibly
Read and strictly follow the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule provided with each product testing project (may include tasks such as unpacking, reading instructions, journal entries, online or mobile feedback, usage of product for a certain amount of time, writing reviews, taking pictures, etc.)
Some In-Home Usage Tests projects may require participants to use MFour's Mobile In-Home Use Test Technology (cutting-edge smartphone technology to capture Point-of-Emotion insights to gain unparalleled depth of responses)
There are times when the product being tested may be discussed in a private chat room that is opened by a market research firm
Write reviews as requested in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule for each project

The Novelis Bay Minette, AL team is seeking a Hot Mill Automation Engineer to work on site. The person in this role will work under the Hot Mill EMRA Leader's supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading engineering systems and providing support in the areas of automation and computer systems to contribute to the achievement of the plant's safety, quality, sustainability and budget objectives. This position will guide and manage the activities of others related to reliability/maintenance, Information Technology (IT), Industry 5.0 and keep current with the constantly evolving technology, balancing it with the needs of the operations to bring forth improvements in automated systems and methods.
Responsibilities:

Assist in solving advanced analysis and identify areas of potential advancements in the processes, equipment, and facilities to achieve increased profitability through reduced costs, increased efficiency, improved quality, increase production output and optimized equipment uptime.
Support the aluminum manufacturing process by working closely with the Operations, Engineering, Administrative, and Process groups.
Work closely with the Automation, Reliability & Engineering Managers, develop conceptual and functional requirements for short- and long-term process and equipment development (facility planning) consistent with the business plan.
Provide after-hours and weekend support as the need arises to assist maintenance in the resolution of issues having an immediate impact on plant performance. This can involve providing direction/mentorship remotely and/or onsite.
Technically lead maintenance technicians and engineers as needed to resolve and prevent maintenance and engineering problems and to develop training programs on processes and equipment for the maintenance staffs.
Apply innovative technology and techniques to resolve complex problems related to Automation, Process Control and Rolling applications.
Train teams on subject relates to Automation, Process Control and Rolling applications.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other technical resources inside and outside of the Site and Company
Manage the full scope of the automation and controls projects including budget control, schedule, and compliance with safety, environmental and sustainability requirements, to assure performance against expectations.
Review Site equipment and technology for robustness, reliability and obsolescence, where necessary, develop plans for modifications and/or upgrades.
Prepare and present robust capital expenditure estimates, schedules and requests, including sound financial analysis/justification, for management approval.
Constantly search for innovations and continuous improvement.
Anticipate and lead capital projects from conceptual to implementation phases
Lead development of Level 0 (sensors and actuators), Level I and Level II (process automation) and to support the plant and personnel in a timely manner.
Communicate with plant utilities (power distribution, water, compressed air, etc.).
Collaborate with the Information Technology department on regular maintenance and upgrade of PC's, servers, software, and other associated equipment.
Drive the deployment of digital capabilities via Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and incorporate industry best practices.
Expand the application of data capturing & contextualization to the next level by embracing the latest trends in manufacturing such as digitalization and Industry 5.0.
Resolve and implement automation solutions for monitoring of environmental regulations and process and/or system improvements.
Interact with internal customers to provide support, mentor, and needed assistance to meet safety, quality, reliability, and cost goals.
Influence regional and/or global decision-making by preparing and presenting technical information to senior management on matters with significant business impact, such as regional/multi-site capital expenditures or regional process/product improvements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
3 years of progressive experience.
Working experience in the field of factory automation, network, controls, and instrumentation.
Automation knowledge and background.
Experience with design and program logic for PLCs and HMIs (Siemens preferred).
Good methodical skills for equipment problem-solving and related issues.
Project management skills
Result oriented and decision-making capability.
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to connect with all levels in the organization
Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with employees through follow-up, understanding their needs and encouraging a collaborative relationship
Ability to legally work in the United State of America.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and working experience with Industry 4.0 or 5.0 technologies.
Steel or Aluminum Rolling process.
Proficiency in Historian (iba PDA systems).
Basic understanding of capabilities for controls and servo systems and an understanding of maintenance procedures and principles of equipment reliability.
Experienced in trouble shooting mechanical systems including pneumatics, tooling issues, measurement feedback systems, and basic design robustness.

What this job involves:

The incumbent for this position designs, develops, configures, and implements automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity by automating machinery processes. Drafts and designs detailed documentation for design specifications and additional relevant documents. Adheres to international and local regulatory standards for design, process, and safety considerations.
Develops and defines control system applications for various machinery and equipment using technologies or platforms such as ladder logic programming for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), data control systems (DCSs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), computerized numerical control (CNC) systems or motion control technology.
Audits current equipment and automated processes to determine failure rates. Coordinates
quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product
reliability, and minimize cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions, conduct testing and troubleshooting, and provide technical support and training to ensure successful implementation and operation of automated systems.
Responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical systems.
Checks control system schematics and specifications and uses software and testing
