In this role, you will design, develop, and implement advanced, product design, custom machines and automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with our customers' existing processes and products. Depending on their specific assignment, he/she may be a stand-alone contributor who can lead large scale design build projects, provide automation support within a specific area, or provide validation support for automation projects. The Mechanical Engineer meets customer needs in support of project business goals. In addition, he/she supports and collaborates with junior level engineers. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Develop mechanical systems and components with an emphasis on automation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety. Project Support: Work within a project team, teamwork, schedule adherence, execution, start-up, commissioning, owner interaction, qualifications System integration: Identify and implement automation systems including the mechanical design, electrical controls design and possibly programming if experienced. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automation systems. Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated machinery and processes. Technical Skills: High Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools. Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, and control systems. Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety regulations. Experience with material handling systems, actuators, sensors, and pneumatic systems. Machining experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in automation or robotics engineering. Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, or machine learning applications in automation. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
