Overview

This is a hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work 1-3 days a week at an assigned Legacy Health location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their workweek.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.

Note that our employee health plan coverage is for providers based in the Legacy Health geographic region. To find providers in our network click here. Urgent and emergent coverage is available outside the geographic region and telehealth is available within Oregon and Washington.

This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.

Works with site operational and physician leadership to develop annual quality and patient safety goals and plans for implementation that align with Legacy Health organizational quality and patient safety priorities and goals.

Supports/facilitates the work of the Quality Council, which is responsible for providing site-specific direction, oversight and support for quality and patient safety initiatives.

Works with Medical Staff Committees, Leadership Councils, etc. as requested.

Serves as a project manager to define and facilitate development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Legacy Health quality-related initiatives in a timely and effective manner.

Works to maintain positive group dynamics.

Applies appropriate quality improvement tools and techniques to facilitate problem identification, adherence to project timelines, and effective use of resources.

Promotes evidenced-based practices in action plan development when applicable.

Maintains knowledge of national healthcare initiatives, regulatory and licensing agency requirements.

Prepares and participates in regulatory surveys.

Trains, and coaches on Legacy Health initiatives and quality improvement and performance excellence concepts.

Abstracts both qualitative and quantitative information from health records, surveys, focus groups, and other key data sources and displays data for improvement and problem-solving efforts and prioritization.

Supports Legacy's commitment to a culture of safety by encouraging a safe, blame-free committee environment for team process activities.

Maintains confidentiality.



Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of three years of applicable quality improvement experience

Demonstrates experience in process improvement with measurable results

Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.

At least one year of experience in the healthcare field.

Skills:

Lead using performance excellence and other quality improvement tools and techniques to improve outcomes

Ability to provide consultation and support for organizational quality planning that supports Legacy's strategic pathways and annual goals and objectives.

Problem-solving skills, data abstraction and analysis

Able to lead, facilitate, and motivate effective teams (small and large)

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)

Project management skills

Team oriented

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
