Job Summary:
Monitor and maintain inventory for Commercial Vehicle Production. Monitor domestic part orders and follow up with suppliers for upcoming and past due shipments. Monitor offsite warehousing facility and initiate part delivery to the production plants. Assist with general material follow up duties such as inbound/outbound shipments and inventory status. Most transactions are done within SAP and must have strong skills in Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct daily follow up on shipments from US suppliers.

2. Coordinate delivery of materials from offsite warehouse(s) to the production plant(s). Monitor and reconcile inventory at offsite locations to esure accuracy.

3. Support inventory control by way of initiating and reconciling cycle counts on a weekly basis

4. Order repair and production parts from company suppliers as needed. Maintain tracking logs, monitor delivery status and assign responsibility for chargeback.

5. Facilitate part distribution to other departments as required

6. Coordinate return of supplier dunnage with supplier and transportation organization

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

* Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree in Manufacturing/Business Management, or equivalent directly related work experience
* Minimum three years material management experience in a manufacturing oriented operation; ideally auto industry related

KNOWLEDGE:

* Knowledge of basic transportation methods and terminology
* Knowledge of warehousing, material management, and scheduling practices and procedures

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Gathers and interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or technical data and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

+ Monitors and analyzes manufacturing processes to determine where problems are, their priority, and identifies the basic cause.

+ Develops effective countermeasures to problems. Initiates action plan, and measure results.

+ Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities.

+ Recommends and initiates modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
