The QC Technician provides data collection and reporting for all manufacturing assembly operations. The Quality Technician will contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) by providing production support to identify and resolve quality issues within the production operation. Reporting to the Manager, Chemical Synthesis and Bulk Manufacturing, the Chemical Technician II is responsible for manufacturing a wide variety of chemical solutions and powders, in addition to using wet bench chemistry to test and adjust the manufactured chemistry using an assortment of techniques and instruments. This position is part of the Bulk Chemical Manufacturing Department located in Ames, Iowa and will work onsite 4 days per week! This position is second shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday 2:00pm-12:00am. In this role, a typical day will look like: * Manufacture bulk solutions, bulk powders, microbiological media and dyes.
