The Analyst I QC Microbiology is responsible for performing various QC assays and sampling to support manufacturing, validation, process development and stability studies in a GMP laboratory environment. This position reports to the QC Microbiology Lab Supervisor and is part of the QC Team located in Fargo and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Perform advanced microbiological and chemical assays, analyze and interpret results, and document findings in compliance with specifications and quality standards. Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, conduct root cause analysis, develop hypotheses, and collaborate on Quality Events and CAPAs. Maintain training compliance, uphold laboratory safety and cleanliness, and support non-routine testing as required. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in a scientific field required biology preferred. Experience operating precision laboratory instruments and performing analytical assays. Ability to perform accurate calculations using basic math and algebra. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with GMP documentation practices, including batch record review and deviation handling in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment. Inspect materials and finished goods to ensure they meet customer requirements and/or contract specifications, including but not limited to checking welds, welding consumables, base material, cut & formed parts, layout work and coatings. General knowledge of coatings inspection including blast and paint inspections. Review welding specs and/or requirements for each project and work with team to solve fabrication challenges. Document and segregate non-conforming fabricated material and workmanship. Review and work with site management & shop supervisor to address remedies for non-conformances and their prevention. Ensure Welding Specification Procedures (WPS) are current and in place for projects, as applicable per site. Ensure all inspection and welding equipment maintains current calibration and verification and pre-qualifications for bolt, as applicable per site. Ensure proper bolting and pre-qualification are completed per contract requirements, as applicable per site. Understand and support company Quality Management Systems. Operate overhead crane safely.
