The Associate Scientist, Bio QC performs bio-analytical methods (immunological, in vivo, microbiological, molecular biological, or virological) for various Bio QC tests on raw materials, in-process, release or stability samples in compliance with 9CFR, EU and VICH regulatory guidelines, Outlines of Production and Special Outlines. This role initiates, executes and completes assays as per validated procedures and within Quality and Compliance guidelines and communicates testing results, compliance and/or scheduling issues to supervisors.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Performs routine testing using a portion of the existing laboratory assays.
+ Maintains laboratory reagents, supplies and calibrated equipment.
+ Prepares reagents and materials.
+ Calculates test results.
+ Communicates schedule, test status and concerns.
+ Reviews and approves results and test sheets.
+ Revises a Pre-existing Standard Methods and SOPs.
+ Trains others on methods & procedures.
**Requirements**
+ High school degree or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant Bio QC testing or relevant experience in a cGMP or similar environment.
OR
+ Associate's degree in relevant scientific discipline and a minimum of two (2) years of Bio QC testing or relevant experience in a cGMP or similar environment.
OR
+ Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline with or without additional Bio QC testing experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with one-plus (1+) years of Bio QC testing experience in a cGMP or similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
+ Knowledge of basic scientific principles and techniques.
+ Ability to effectively communicate in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.
+ Documents results and data clearly and accurately.

Your Role: Quality Control /Environmental Monitoring Technician
Environmental Monitoring / QC Technician Microbiology will report to the QC Supervisor, Microbiology or equivalent. This position will conduct routine and non-routine environmental monitoring of the manufacturing facilities and associated utilities, as well as microbiology analysis.
Your Responsibilities:
Conducts Environmental Monitoring: Performs routine and non-routine sampling of manufacturing environments (air and surfaces) and utilities (WFI, USP Water, Pure Steam, Clean Compressed Air). Maintains gowning qualifications for sterile environments.
Ensures cGMP Compliance: Upholds cGMP, safety, and environmental standards within the QC lab, generating accurate and compliant data. Participates in internal assessments and audits.
Performs Microbiological Testing: Executes routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and stability samples. Conducts a variety of microbiology tests, including bioburden, sterility, and microbial identifications.
Supports Investigations and Deviations: Assists in the investigation of out-of-specification/out-of-trend results, environmental monitoring excursions, and deviations. Contributes to the preparation of Certificates of Analysis.
Develops and Maintains QC Methods: Assists in developing, qualifying/validating, and transferring new test methods. Contributes to the writing and revision of testing methods, specifications, SOPs, and validation protocols/reports. Maintains lab inventory and performs routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: High School Diploma/GED with 5years experience, BA or BS degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or closely related field, or comparable experience.
Experience: Technical skills in Environmental Monitoring to include, but not limited to, monitoring of manufacturing environment and utilities.
Excellent computer, documentation, communication, and organizational skills required.

OR
Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline with or without additional Bio QC testing experience.

Overview:
Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager within the Operations department, the Quality Control Inspector performs and documents quality control inspections of all types of precast concrete products.
The inspection process includes, but is not limited to evaluating pieces for dimensional accuracy, required tolerances and aesthetic appearance as well in interpreting piece tickets and production drawings (blueprints) . The quality control technician is also responsible for daily shipping and receiving finished product and raw materials.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Performs pre-pour inspection of all forms, reinforcement, steel and inserts, in a timely manner to maintain optimized work flow and assists in finding ways to decrease delays and cause for rework.
Maintains daily and project production records.
Completes daily quality control documentation.
Inspects all finished product. Documents and follows-up on any precast product that requires patching or rework.

ACI Certified (American Concrete Institute Certification)
