Job Description
The Data Center Construction QAQC Co-Op Engineer (CxE-C) provides construction management, quality assurance and quality control support during the delivery of mission-critical data center facilities. They also participate in the supply chain coordination, inspection and validation of mechanical and electrical components, ensuring that delivered components meet the required specifications before installation and commissioning.
The QAQC-C partners with senior team members, project managers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to monitor and ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards and timelines throughout the construction process.
The QAQC-C provides construction support as part of Apollo's onsite, client-facing teams. Thus, this role may involve approximately 75% or more travel to various client locations.
Education
Relevant coursework towards a bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain & logistics, or a related discipline OR
One year of experience in the supply chain coordination, inspection, validation, and quality control of mechanical and/or electrical systems in a construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the review of construction plans and design specifications to help identify quality and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of electrical and mechanical components.

Position overview

Immediately notifies Water Reclamation Compliance Superintendent of any compliance issues related to the WRF's NPDES and LAS permits.
Performs chemical, bacteriological, and biological tests; documents test results and reports data to the Water Reclamation Compliance Superintendent.
Collects samples resulting from a spill or overflow from any water reclamation facility or sewage line which may result in additional hours in the work week.
Maintains routine documentation including lab bench sheets, discrete analyzer sample login, results and data validation, sample documentation, and chain of custody forms. Ensures all data generated is legally defensible. Performs mathematical calculations and statistical analysis for test results. Records data precisely and accurately. Must be able to interpret the data.
Assist in preparing QA/QC reports including control charts for matrix spikes, laboratory fortified blanks, standards, and duplicates. Contributes to root cause analysis of any QA/QC issues and develops corrective actions to address lab deficiencies or nonconformities. Reports results to the Analyst I.
Participates in performance and system audits, including DMRQA's on an annual basis and proficiency testing to ensure adherence to written methods and that quality control measures are being followed.
Cleans and sterilizes lab containers and utensils; calibrates and cleans equipment used in wastewater testing; maintains equipment used in the plant, keeps daily log on equipment, and performs calibration checks. Responsible for cleanliness and organization in the lab at all times.
Prepares monthly and weekly sample bottles for compliance testing.
Performs routine quality control checks on reagents, media, and data generated specific to permit compliance.
Assists in training new lab personnel on methods and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
Assist in instrument detection limits, method detection limits, and calibration on all instrumentation.
Participates in special projects as needed due to regulation, emergency, or research.
Assist in sampling machine maintenance at all facilities. This includes ensuring the programing is correct and the machines are in good operating condition.
Responsible for knowing permit requirements.
Stays current on new method update rules.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field and/or at least five years related experience or training strongly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Georgia Driver's License required. Georgia Wastewater Laboratory Analyst license strongly preferred.

What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Document and Report Information. Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results. Communicate test results in a timely manner to the supervisor and properly document in a database.
Maintain Lab Standards. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Monitor Stockpile. Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites. Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to ensure that segregation and contamination is kept to a minimum or eliminated. Notify management immediately if contamination is identified.
Inspect Equipment and Structures. Conduct routine inspections of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions.

Skills You'll Need:
Experience. Prior training or experience in the materials testing field is preferred. Knowledge of general principles and practices of aggregate production is preferred.
Safety Knowledge. Must display knowledge and awareness of construction and mining site hazards.
Math Skills. Must possess good math skills and demonstrate the ability to perform simple to moderately complex arithmetic calculations.
Technology Skills. Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Oracle Business Environment, and other software packages relevant to the position.
