PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for verification of production processes, packaging, food safety and monitoring of operational sanitation. Responsible for proper documentation, inventory control, and release of hold product. Assist production Team Members, Team Leaders, and Supervisors in assuring that safe and quality products are produced according to specification. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulation
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Under minimal supervision, communicate with Production & QA Team Members, Team Leaders, and Supervisors to assure proper handling of all products and timely correction of deficiencies
Monitor lines and paperwork throughout the day to assure specification compliance for each product
Verify and help enforce GMP's
Verify labels, lot codes, bags, boxes, and pallets are correctly adhered, printed, sealed, and stacked
Verify receiving of incoming raw materials and ingredients, informs Shipping/Receiving Team Leader and QA Team Leader or QA Coach if any product does not meet specifications
Assist Production with day to day quality problems to reach workable solutions
Assure microbiological swabs and samplings are performed at correct times and correct positions
Assist in making sure all quality and food safety policies and procedures are being followed
Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 1 year experience in quality assurance or 6 months Wayne Farms employee
Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and computer skills
Detail oriented
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner; ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Non-Destructive Weld Inspector will provide weld inspection and quality assurance services in support of the Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) Mission Support IDIQ contract. This position is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT), quality audits, and inspections of welds, fabrications, and repairs to ensure all products meet applicable military, federal, and contractual specifications and standards.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Non-Destructive Weld Inspector: $35-40/HR
Pay commensurate with experience.

Non-Destructive Weld Inspector Responsibilities Include:
Perform comprehensive weld and fabrication inspections to verify conformity with military and federal standards across operational testing, production procedures, and processes.
Exercise expert judgment to make acceptance decisions when inspection requirements are not fully defined.
Conduct quality audits of production operations, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with work orders, documented procedures, and rebuild standards.
Execute visual, dimensional, functional, and operational inspections on wheeled vehicles, engineering equipment, combat/tracked vehicles, and related sub‑assemblies, components, and systems (including hydraulics, hoisting equipment, painting, and fire suppression).
Research and interpret technical manuals, statements of work, rebuild standards, and inspection criteria to perform accurate inspections and audits.
Verify that all repairs and production operations (machining, shaping, assembly, handling, routing, storage, etc.) are completed under controlled conditions.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, document discrepancies, maintain records, and drive follow‑up corrective actions.
Coordinate preparation, presentation, and communication of inspection and quality information with government stakeholders.
Support and comply with MDMC's ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment used for nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections.
Follow all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Non-Destructive Weld Inspector Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Proven experience performing NDT and weld inspections in industrial, depot, or heavy equipment settings.
Strong knowledge of military and federal specifications, quality standards, and inspection methodologies.
Capable of executing and documenting quality audits and inspections across multiple production disciplines.
Proficient in drafting detailed technical reports and maintaining accurate inspection records.
Basic computer skills for reports, email, audits, and documentation.
High attention to detail; strong analytical skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid state driver's license.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements (to be considered you must have the following):
Computer with an internet connection
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas)

Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.

Communicates and works with production leadership to investigate and resolve problems.
Prepares and manages correspondence, reports and documents in a legible and comprehensible manner.
Maintains equipment, assuring that it is functional and appropriately calibrated. Enters work requests as needed. Enters calibration results as required by QMS.
Assists and supports the QC Analytical Lab Technicians where needed.
This includes items such as ISO, FAMI-QS, HACCP, and other related requirements (plant dependent).
Interacts with the document control system as needed
Observes all safety rules, regulations and precautions.
Audits external processes and/or verifies internal processes for conformance to current SOP's, PWI's, etc.
Keep areas clean and free of clutter.
Other duties as assigned.
Support & participate in improvement activities, e.g., 8 D, kaizen, visual @ glance, 5 S, shift review and daily review processes, process mapping etc.

Education:
High school diploma, or post-secondary education
Licensure/Certification:
Work Experience:
Must possess two years of experience working in quality control
Must understand process controls and SPC rules.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and act on product specifications, SOP's (standard operating procedures), PWI (Process Work Instructions), AIQ processes, and similar documents.
Training:
Must meet the assessment requirements for this position.
Must pass basic computer literacy skills assessment
Must obtain the CQIA certification (Quality Improvement Associate Certificate-through the ASQ Org) within six months of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Communicates affectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Must be able to work with others as necessary to better enable customer and ODCA satisfaction on situations impacting or involving quality (e.g., NJIC teammates, suppliers, customers, etc.).
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Must understand all safety requirements and other communications.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, reach, twist, stoop, walk, and climbing stairways.
Must be able to work in dusty, hot, cold and humid environments.
Must be able to communicate by radio and phone.
When necessary, must be able to stand for the duration of the shift

Must be able to participate in cleanup activities up to full shift duration.
