A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GEOTECHNICAL / CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN
Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. In addition, you actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met.

Responsibilities:

Makes decisions on whether parts meet the drawing/router specs and write scrap tickets when non-conforming product is realized. Attach inspection reports and balance records to SAP. Must have the ability to read and calibrate all gauges available in the plant. Will need the ability to learn the CMM; this includes the Zeiss and Keyonce machines. Scanning and filing production routers and material certifications will be required. Coordinate returned product through the RMA process. Actively participate in process and department improvement discussions.

Position Summary:
To effectively perform all the required duties of the Quality Assurance Technician in an accurate, thorough and safe manner. Perform audits that consist of pre-operational/operational in oun facility. Processing areas as prescribed by A policy and procedures, and maintain proper documentation, in order to assure adherence to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform audits (pre-operational / operational) in the facility ensuring that all @uality/HACCP/SQF/SSOP requirements are being met
complete all required paperwork, documenting all findings and corrective actions implemented
Inspect and verify Critical Control Points (CCP'S) in the manufacturing facility.
Monitor GMP's in production areas.
Collect samples for lab analyses to assure that product meets specifications.
Perform routine data entry in computer, with minimum errors.
In the event a deficiency is discovered/product failure, he/she will report the events) to the QA Manager and appropriate department supervisor/manager
Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner.
Possess knowledge of and familiarity with the job responsibilities and requirements of all direct reports to include Line Packers. Team Leaders and Packaging Material Handlers.
Perform inspections of Hold items for proper disposition.
Provide assistance to Operations in times of staffing challenges, possibly working on the production line.
Provide guidance to line associates for best quality.

Overview

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GEOTECHNICAL / CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN
Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. Responsibilities
Perform new vehicle audits
Must be able to audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and have the ability to detect minor vehicle issues
Must have good color vision
Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets
Properly document results of the inspection and take pictures of non-conforming items
Must be truthful when recording results of inspections
Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns immediately
Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues
Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructions
Assist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasures
Provide input on how to correct known issues within various departments
Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns that are found during inspection process immediately
Notify Supervisor/Manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner
Assist with the development of audit strategies
Assist with training of new staff on quality inspections
