Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Relief Technician will execute the delivery of the daily blend requirements; through the manufacturing of syrup batches using raw materials including water, sugar, and concentrate. This role will coordinate the collection of product samples in preparation for sensory tests, and ensure all equipment is sanitized to prevent microbiological contamination of products, per company quality specifications and regulatory requirements; perform water treatment tests, calibrate and maintain lab instruments; perform required data entry per record of completion.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Execute the delivery of the daily blend requirements according to production schedules; through the manufacturing of syrup batches from raw materials, including water, sugar, and concentrate; ensure adherence to the company quality assurance specification requirements
* Coordinate the collection of product samples in preparation for sensory tests performed by panelists to ensure adherence to the company sensory requirements and perform tests to ensure product; package quality of finished beverage products are following company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
* Perform external and internal or Clean in Place (CIP) sanitation on production lines following the Company Quality Assurance Sanitation Policy; ensure proper aseptic techniques are used for microbial sample collections; ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations; maintain water treatment equipment
* Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
* Maintain testing and calibration records and result through data entry into the Lab Data Management System (LDMS)
* Perform water treatment quality tests following company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
* Create quality holds on finished beverage products for containment and investigation when quality test results do not meet specification

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.

• Performs complex tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards.

1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Quality Technician II is responsible for ensuring that Raw materials and finished products meet established quality standards on the steel and plastics operations. This includes inspecting incoming materials, verifying in-process production, auditing final products, performing fatigue, Tensile and other NDT as well as maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS). The role also supports internal auditing, document creation and control to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
2. KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
2.1. Conducts audits of finished products for steel and plastics departments by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning failed products for rework, and evaluating rework, to follow the norms and standards of quality as defined by the Company.
2.2. Follows established procedures and guidelines for checking, testing, and inspecting incoming raw materials, and rejects and returns all undesirable goods. This includes moisture testing, Magnaflux Testing, and dimensional testing as required.
2.3. Document's inspection results by completing reports, logs and/or discrepancy material reports, summarizing rework and waste/scrap, and inputting data into the quality database.
2.4. Updates DMR Log with daily and weekly process scrap as well as recording DMRs for suspect and defective products.
2.5. Loads equipment to test product performance, this includes; Fatigue testing, toe load testing, Magnaflux testing, tensile testing, push through and pull off test as well as other related tests as needed.
2.6. Performing complex inspections communicates required adjustments to the Production Supervisor, to ensure the achievement of targets with respect to quality.
2.7. Uses problem solving efforts on assigned projects to reduce defects, improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and improve cycle time.
2.8. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
2.9. Participates in the Pandrol Excellence System (PES) and supports initiatives like 5S and 4D investigations.
2.10. Actively participates in at least one of the safety committees.
2.11. Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

4. SKILLS NEEDED
4.1. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
4.2. High school diploma or GED.
4.3. CQI or CQT certification from ASQ or similar.
4.4. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
4.5. Self-starter that is able to work in an independent manner.
4.6. Able to read drawings, analyze information, and record findings.
4.7 Proficient in MS Office Suite
4.7. Knowledge and use of basic measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, etc.
4.8. Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
4.9. Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
4.10. Good mechanical aptitude to load and maintain testing equipment.
5. MEASUREMENT
Primary measures of successful performance will be:
5.1. Ability to complete product performance testing independently inside the prescribed intervals.
5.2. Maintaining DMR database with process and DMR Scrap.
5.3. Update inspection database and maintain quality records as required by supervisor.
5.4. Escalates concerns related to NC products or deviations from the process.
5.5. Ensure high quality products being distributed to customers.
5.6. Maintenance of Document Control portion of the QMS.
5.7. Support of 5s & PES program for the department.
5.8. Meet requirements of internal audit schedule.
5.9. Receive zero notices of violation or administrative consent orders regarding environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements.
