Job Purpose
This is a 3
rd
shift position. Shift hours are 10:00PM until 6:30AM. May be subject to change based on operations and business necessity. Weekend and overtime work will be required based on production and operational needs. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Supervisor.
Under regular supervision, performs required tests, and quality control inspections of raw materials, in process batches, and finished goods. Accurately records, communicates, and files results. Performs routine line inspections on the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs quality control inspections on production samples. Performs chemical and microbiological analysis on raw materials and final products to verify adherence to stated specifications.
Performs routine line inspections, audits, and equipment checks on the production floor.
Uses keen observation skills, clear communication skills, and good judgment to catch, address, and prevent production errors.
Approves release of products and materials.
Maintains various production and raw material testing and problem logs and records.
Stores production and raw material samples.
In consultation with supervision, takes proper steps to troubleshoot problems in the lab and on the production floor.
Maintains lab equipment and keeps work area clean.
Performs all operations according to all established Safety Policies, Good Lab Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
Communicates effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner within the quality department and with other departments throughout the plant at all levels.
Performs sanitation inspections on equipment and facility to maintain a sanitary and food safe environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job Description
As a Senior Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, you will independently perform advanced-level construction materials testing and special inspections work with occasional advice from a supervisor. You will also direct efforts of less-experienced staff, local travel to various project sites around the Omaha metro area, and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions. Company vehicle is provided to travel to and from various project sites.
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and testing on large commercial and industrial construction sites.
Prepare daily inspection and test reports.
Review inspection and test data for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced staff, with potential to lead a team of field staff on large projects.
Work with engineers and clients to ensure specifications are being followed.
