As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest specifications in the industry for our organic products. You will work closely with the production team to perform live flour evaluations, monitor product quality throughout the production process, and ensure that our customers receive only the best organic flours. This position requires strong ability to catch and remember details, a sense of urgency, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct repeatable flour evaluation tests and monitor products against specification sheets. Learn to operate laboratory equipment and software, achieving accurate results. Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Perform lab tests using both sensory analysis and standard laboratory procedures. Document results and communicate them to management and production teams.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment by adhering to Food Safety and GMP policies. Contribute to other cleaning duties outside of the lab as requested.
- Assist the Quality Control Manager with lab and food safety initiatives, as well as other projects as needed, including packaging for e-commerce distribution.
- Determine daily prioritization and preparation of incoming samples for testing.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and contribute to research and development projects.
- Maintain a stock of supplies and communicate needs to purchasing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Quality Control or lab work. Experience in food service or baking is a plus.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Very high attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for several hours a day (cushioned mats provided).
- Must be able to safely lift at least 25 pounds.
- All candidates must be able to safely work with and consume wheat products (no gluten or wheat sensitivities/intolerances/allergies).
-Candidates must be able to hear, understand, and execute spoken directions throughout the day in a fast-paced production environment.
-Candidates must be able to work while wearing personal PPE when required including hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, gloves, protective glasses, provided N95 masks, and lab coats. These are not all regularly worn in the lab, but may be worn during some duties.
Hours and Benefits
-Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
-Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch typically from 12 PM to 1 PM although may flex slightly with production needs.

Work Environment
When running the engines, you will be working outdoors with exposure to the elements. This can include, but is not limited to, heat, cold, or rain. A risk of electrical shock is always present. Risk of cuts or abrasions is present, especially when dealing with panels, or maneuvering between units for splice plate measurements or mechanical checks.

Position Responsibilities
Study and interpret product specifications to ensure product conformity

Performs diversified bench or floor inspection of a variety of standard or custom parts, products, or materials that are being produced in-house or received from vendors.
Position Responsibilities:
Verifies parts pulled for shipment meet customer expectations for part number, quantity per carton/container, count (total order), packaging damage, and general workmanship.
Verifies unit of measure in JDE.
Audits workmanship and correct assembly per bill of material.
Enters audit results into an on-line QA database.
Clears inventory of defective products discovered during audit.
Initiates NCR rejection for defective products.
Isolates defective product to hold area.
Monitors inspection and tests instruments to ensure they are identified with calibration stickers and stickers due dates are current.
Goal: Audits 10% of boilers produced.
Obtain samples from the Receipt Routing area per sampling plan.
Uses Agile to obtain drawings.
Use a computer to access other company servers in order to obtain test instructions.
Uses various measuring and tests instruments to perform duties as required by QA instructions.
Uses NCR database to reject nonconforming material.
The most qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:
High school diploma or GED minimum.
Able to use basic metrology tools such as dial caliper, micrometer, and tape measure.
Able to use online systems and software such as Agile, JDE, MRB, Propel, Excel, and Word.
Able to interpret drawings, bill of material, work orders, packing lists, test specifications and product audit check lists and sampling plans.
Ability to read blueprints.
Excellent math and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Communicate with all levels of the organization.
