Work Environment
When running the engines, you will be working outdoors with exposure to the elements. This can include, but is not limited to, heat, cold, or rain. A risk of electrical shock is always present. At times there can be hazards from moving equipment (i.e.: forklifts). There can be a lot of ambient noise, and in some cases hearing protection must be worn. Risk of cuts or abrasions is present, especially when dealing with panels, or maneuvering between units for splice plate measurements or mechanical checks.

Quality control inspector job in Creedmoor, NC
The Quality Control Technician will inspect products for proper assembly, quality of work, proper operation and safety. The Quality Control Technician will work with management and team leads to ensure a smooth production process and consistent quality. This position will communicate with the various production groups for correction of quality problems with products. This position will ensure products meet the quality standards before being shipped out from the company.
Essential Functions :
Perform quality inspections on raw materials and finished products to support production quality.
Monitor and audit production process for manufactured goods.
Inspect incoming components and purchased finished goods.
Maintain records and reports.

Educational requirements:
Two Year Trade / Technical School Degree /military certification or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong attention to detail is a must
Terms of employment:
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
Hours:
The general hours shall be 6:45am to 3:15pm, Monday - Friday, with a one-half hour break for lunch. Paid breaks are included.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. Work is regularly performed in a warehouse environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or listen. * Coating inspectors will also be responsible for making judgement calls determining whether product needs to be reworked/repaired
* Individual will be responsible for performing manual repairs on all defected parts

Position overview

Key Responsibilities
* Use a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, and statistical control processes.
* Perform Initial Sample Inspections Records (ISIR)/ First Article Inspections (FAI) and conformity inspections and raise notifications of non-conformance.
* Participate in continuous improvement / process improvement.
* Request support from an engineer to evaluate and act on inspection and test beyond capabilities.
* Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
* Interact within a team environment.
* Perform other duties assigned to meet business needs.
Skills and Experience
* Associate degree or more than 5 years related experience and/or training, Bachelor's degree preferred
* Minimum 5 years quality inspection or manufacturing experience in a relevant industry
* Certification in a quality discipline preferred, such as ASQ certified Quality Technician (CQT), ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, etc.
* Proficient in Blueprint reading/geometric tolerance interpretation
* Experience with PCB / Cabling Experience, UL Components Compliance Knowledge, and GD&T

* Effective oral and written communication skills
Work environment and physical demands
* This position will be subject to mostly controlled but potential varying internal environmental conditions, including changes in temperature and noise that are within acceptable safety levels common to a warehouse environment.
* Work may involve long-term standing, sitting and frequent walking throughout areas such as warehouse, assembly or machine shop as well as navigating common hazards related to these areas.
* Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
* Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk.
* Weekend and overtime work may be required.
