We are seeking a QC Inspector I to work at our Temecula, CA location in our Vascular division.
Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
+ Audits materials or the work of others through the examination, inspection, measurement, or test of raw materials, components, sub assemblies, final assemblies and documentation.
+ Documents the non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to standards (i.e. manufacturing documentation, material/ component specifications, operating procedures, and domestic/ international standards) through the identification of unsuccessful audits, the completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing his or her mark (i.e. stamp, sign-off or signature).
+ Handle discrepant materials per the documented disposition and document activities in the appropriate systems or paperwork.
+ Communicates the status of audit metrics and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties verbally and through the completion and publishing of periodic reports.
+ Performs simple statistical analysis through the collection and input of data into software applications or manual calculations.
+ Trains new, entry level, and less experienced Quality Auditors through on-the-job training, group training, and one-on-one guidance.
+ Issues, stores, count and maintains inventory into the different storage areas.
+ Handles, disposes, transfer and document appropriately hazardous waste.
+ Plans and organizes non-routine tasks w/approval.
+ Initiates or maintains work schedule.
+ Establishes priorities of work assignments.

Job Overview

Essential Functions

Position Summary
Inspectors are directly responsible to the Head of Airworthiness for ensuring that all maintenance performed on Company aircraft, engines, appliances, and accessories is accomplished in accordance with approved Aircraft Technical Orders, Company programs, Contract requirements and FAA Regulations to maintain a continuous state of airworthiness. Inspectors ensure that safety is the first consideration in Quality Control and Maintenance Departments.
Role and Responsibilities
Accomplish aircraft inspections, by the applicable maintenance program specifications, procedures, and criteria to detect and document discrepant or non-airworthy conditions.
Ensure all special inspections are completed and documented correctly in the maintenance records.
Perform required inspections (IPI and/or RII) on items as listed in technical/company manuals and following procedures listed in the GMM/technical data.
Monitors workmanship and materials to verify that the Company, NAVAIR, and FAA rules, regulations, and standards are complied with.
Ensure that aircraft modifications or component changes follow maintenance manual procedures or approved technical data procedures.
Ensure all required inspection items (RII) are completed and documented properly, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) have been received, reviewed, and approved before any aircraft modification action.
Perform receiving inspections of newly purchased, repaired, overhauled parts or continued service components and hardware to ensure proper documentation from approved vendors, absence of shipping damage, proper packaging, protection, and airworthiness certification.
Ensure assistance in the classification of repairs and alterations in relation to Major or Minor repairs.
Reviews all maintenance entries in the aircraft maintenance records/MIS, initiating procedural error notices as necessary to correct incomplete or deficient paperwork.
Monitors/audits aircraft inspection reports, log pages, and records for accuracy and completeness of entries before being sent to the Aircraft Records Department.

Position Summary
Inspectors are directly responsible to the Head of Airworthiness for ensuring that all maintenance performed on Company aircraft, engines, appliances, and accessories is accomplished in accordance with approved Aircraft Technical Orders, Company programs, Contract requirements and FAA Regulations to maintain a continuous state of airworthiness. Inspectors ensure that safety is the first consideration in Quality Control and Maintenance Departments.
Role and Responsibilities
* Accomplish aircraft inspections, by the applicable maintenance program specifications, procedures, and criteria to detect and document discrepant or non-airworthy conditions.
* Ensure all special inspections are completed and documented correctly in the maintenance records.
* Perform required inspections (IPI and/or RII) on items as listed in technical/company manuals and following procedures listed in the GMM/technical data.
* Monitors workmanship and materials to verify that the Company, NAVAIR, and FAA rules, regulations, and standards are complied with.
* Ensure that aircraft modifications or component changes follow maintenance manual procedures or approved technical data procedures.
* Ensure all required inspection items (RII) are completed and documented properly, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) have been received, reviewed, and approved before any aircraft modification action.
* Perform receiving inspections of newly purchased, repaired, overhauled parts or continued service components and hardware to ensure proper documentation from approved vendors, absence of shipping damage, proper packaging, protection, and airworthiness certification.
* Ensure assistance in the classification of repairs and alterations in relation to Major or Minor repairs.
* Reviews all maintenance entries in the aircraft maintenance records/MIS, initiating procedural error notices as necessary to correct incomplete or deficient paperwork.

**Job Title:** QA/QC Inspector
**Location:** Temecula, CA
**Pay Range:**
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
+ Record inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures.
+ Utilize optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure, and force gage testing to ensure quality standards.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and test data.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality team.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years related work experience preferred.
+ Previous experience in quality inspection, especially in medical device component inspection, is preferred.
+ Experience with optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure, and force gage testing.
+ Training and experience with inspection sampling techniques.
+ Good communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
