Overview: The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for inspecting the quality of work performed from the initial start of the work process, through completion and customer acceptance of the work according to the contract requirements, and industry standards. The Quality Control Coordinator monitors the process to ensure all requirements are met in accordance with company processes, (safety) procedures and applicable contract requirements. This contract/work focuses on janitorial services . Job Qualifications: High school diploma, or its equivalent with at least 3-years of quality control experience (Required); Associate's (or higher) with a concentration in safety, statistics, or a related field with 2-years of progressively responsible quality control experience (Preferred); Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, may be considered. Must have taken 30-Hour OSHA Training course (or equivalent) within the past 24-months (Required). Valid Driver's License (Required). Must be able to pass a background screening for access to federal/military buildings and locations. Fundamental/Essential Functions: Conducts inspections and ensures that all contract requirements have been met and completed and the work meets contract and industry standards. - Accurately documents the results of the inspections. Prepares reports when a problem is detected in the inspection process. Evaluates problems and makes initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor. Ensures that corrective actions are taken and are acceptable. Reports problems or concerns to senior management immediately. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work inputting data in quality database. Communicates quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or client representatives. Produces reports regarding non-conformance of processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends. Analyzes quality control data/results and provides feedback and interpretation to management and/or staff. Instructs staff in quality control and analytical procedures. Reviews statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control. May be responsible for employee safety training, Safety Data Sheets, and accident investigations; as well as, looking for preventative measures. May perform inspections using janitorial software (when applicable); and, may serve as a back-up to the Project Manager, in his/her absence. Any/all (other) related duties as assigned. Travel: This position involves extensive travel and the incumbent may be expected to travel 50% - 60% of the time, in order to satisfy quality control and/or assurance functional duties at various contract locations throughout the State of Tennessee. Participate in cross functional teams to address and resolve quality problems and to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods Perform GR&R studies on equipment affecting product quality Maintains testing equipment, including calibrations and preventative maintenance SALARY RANGE: $21.04 to $31.16.
